Heart of Christmas Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie and it will be our last Heart Of Christmas blog hop for 2021. I hope that you have enjoyed the creations we have shared with you each week and it has given you inspiration.

This week I have 2 simple cards to share with you, both of which feature the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder DSP which although is not the traditional christmas colours which I tend to favour, I have absolutely loved.

For my first card I have started with a piece of the DSP and chosen a couple of the colours in it to highlight. I have die cut a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then embossed it using one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders.

For the ornament I have used Polished Pink cardstock for the base and then added the detail using Silver foil. The sentiment has been embossed using Silver and then die cut with one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally a bow using Simply Elegant trim and a few Rhinestone jewels.

For my second card I have used a different piece of DSP but still from the same pack. I have used the very pretty pale pink snowflake paper.

To coordinate with the DSP I have embossed a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using one of the Wintry folders with snowflakes. For this card the background of the ornament has been die cut using Blushing Bride and the detail using Silver foil again.

As with my first card the sentiment has been embossed in silver and I have used the Simply Elegant trim for a bow and a few Rhinestone jewels.

Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo

Welcome to week 26 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Melon Mambo which is one of the Brights colours and is a bright pink.

For my card this week I have chosen to team Melon Mambo with Black, White and Grey and have chosen Colour and Contour as the stamp set to use. I have also chosen the flip side of a piece of the Peaceful Place DSP which is a plaid pattern.

I have used the splotched stamp in Grey Granite to break up the background and die cut the base of the Basic White cardstock using the scalloped edge die in the coordinating die set, Scalloped Contours. The flower stems have been stamped using Black memento as have the flower images. Both have been die cut using the corresponding dies. I have also coloured the flowers using Melon Mambo Stampin Blends. For the flower centres I have used the Metallic Pearls.

The sentiment is also from the Colour and Contour stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo and then die cut using one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally some Black and White Gingham ribbon to finish with.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart Of Christmas Week 21

Welcome to Week 21 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

For this week's card I decided to open up some new DSP, Ever Eden that is currently available for order as part of the Eden's Garden Collection. Although it is not designed to be used for Christmas the colours lend themselves to being used just for that.

The DSP features Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Gold. I started by embossing the paper using the always favourite Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I actually think that is has made the gold elements in the paper even brighter. I then mounted this paper on Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set and I have embossed it in gold to tie in with the paper. This has been die cut using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then mounted on a piece of the In Colour DSP that has also been die cut using a die from the same set. I have also used some Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent ribbon around the width of the card. I have also die cut some leaves and sprigs also from the Christmas Trimmings dies using Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Brushed Metallic cardstock. Finally a few Gilded Gems for some added gold bling.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Catherine Proctor . Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. Stampin' Up! Mango Melody

Welcome to week 25 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Mango Melody which is one of the Brights colours and is a very bold bright yellow.

For my card this week I decided that Mango Melody was a good colour to use with the Daisy Lane stamp set which I haven't used for some time. The stamp set also has matching punches and so no need to fussy cut. Always a win for me!

I started by stamping a couple of the daisy branches in Old Olive using my Stamparatus. I then stamped the daisy flowers in Mango Melody and then punched them out using the corresponding punches. I have then mounted the daisies using dimensionals so as to add some depth. For the flower centres I have used the Metallic pearls in gold.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and with this sentiment the card can be used for many different occasions. I have die cut the sentiment using the   Hippo and Friends  dies and then die cut a larger one using the Cork Specialty Paper. Finally a few of the Bumblebee trinkets for some added interest.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Caroline Manwaring. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart Of Christmas Week 20

Welcome to Week 19 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie.

For this week's card I have decided to step away from the traditional Christmas colours and use some alternate colours.

I have decided to feature the beautiful Rainbow Glimmer Paper. For my starting point I have embossed a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using one of the Wintry embossing folders. I have cut the solid part of the bauble using a die from the Gingerbread dies and using the Rainbow Glimmer paper and then the feature of the bauble has been die cut using Shimmery White cardstock again. The border has also been die cut using the Rainbow Glimmer paper also using one of the Gingerbread dies.

I've then used the Glittered Organdy Ribbon for the bauble ties. The sentiment is from the stamp set that corresponds with the Gingerbread dies, Frosted Gingerbread and has been stamped using Blackberry Bliss and mounted on one of the Layering Circles dies. Finally a few of the Artistry Blooms adhesive backed sequins.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Judy May. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Tina Gillespie's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Stampin' Up! Magenta Madness

Welcome to week 24 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Magenta Madness which is one of the In Colours from the 2020-22 range and is a bright pink colour.

For my card this week I have decided to use the large die in the Potted Succulents dies as a stencil. I die cut 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock with the die, one for the Magenta Madness and one for the Granny Green Apple. I then used Blending Brushes to add the colour. They make it so easy to add colour.  I've finally added some Gorgeous Grape to parts of the Granny Green Apple.

Next I have stamped the pot image and a couple of the plant images from the Simply Succulents stamp set and coloured them using Stampin Blends. I have then die cut them using the corresponding dies. Here is a close up of the stencil effect you can achieve using the large die.

Finally the sentiment is also from the Simply Succulents stamp set and die cut using the corresponding die. The white twine bow and the twine wrapped around the card is from the Bakers Twine Essentials pack.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Woollard. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart Of Christmas Week 19

Welcome to Week 19 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

This week I thought it was well and truly time to ink up the Festive Foliage stamp. Festive Foliage is one big stamp and is actually in the Annual Catalogue and not the mini.

I started by stamping the image in Versamark on Vellum and then embossing it with Gold embossing powder. I then started colouring the image using Stampin Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. I'm not really sure what i had hoped to achieve but I then mounted the coloured Vellum on Shimmery White as it's not actually seen through the Vellum. Oh well.

I then mounted the Shimmery White cardstock on some Cherry Cobbler cardstock but not before wrapping some of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon around the panel. The sentiment which has also been embossed in gold is from Holly Jolly Wishes and once stamped and embossed has been die cut using one of the Hippo and Friends dies. Finally a bow using the same ribbon and a few Gilded Gems. I have actually placed these in the corners to cover where I had adhered the vellum to the cardstock using glue.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Kate Morgan. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Sharon Davern's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Just Jade

Welcome to week 23 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Just Jade which is one of the In Colours from the 2020-22 range and as the name suggests it is a jade green colour.

Tonight's card is all about letting the Designer Series Paper (DSP) be the feature of the card. It is also a quick card to whip up when you are time poor as I was this week, as for the first time in about 3 months we were able to venture out of Melbourne and spend sometime catching up with friends in regional Victoria, Gippsland in fact.

The starting point for this  card was die cut pieces of the Expressions In Ink DSP using one of the Rectangle Stitched dies and then mounting them on a piece of Gold Metallic Speciality Paper. I have then mounted the rectangles on a piece of Basic White cardstock that I have embossed using the Tasteful Textile folder.

This has then been mounted on a card of Just Jade. The sentiment I have used is one from In Symmetry and has been stamped in Just Jade on a piece of Basic White cardstock also die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die. Finally I've added a couple of elements from the Expression In Ink Ephemera Pack and some Genial Gems.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Di Furniss. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart of Christmas Week 18

Welcome to Week 18 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie.

I had to laugh last week when a couple of other team members commented on how hard it was to photograph the Metallic Specialty Paper. Well this week I found out for myself!

I've always thought that Navy and Gold are very elegant for Christmas and thought it would work perfectly for the Bright Baubles bundle. I started by die cutting some Night of Navy cardstock for the backing of the bauble. I then die cut the intricate design using the Gold Specialty Paper. This was then mounted on apiece of Shimmery White cardstock that had been embossed using one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders which I might add was equally as hard to capture in the photograph.

I then added a couple of "peeper" strips of the same Gold paper to the edges.

The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and it has been embossed with Gold embossing powder and then die cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. Finally if there wasn't enough bling then a couple of Brushed Metallic Dots in Gold and a bow using the Gold Shimmer ribbon.

Next in tonight's blog hop is  Andrea Sargent. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Tina Gillespie's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.
