Stampin' Up! Mossy Meadow

This week, week 31 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Mossy Meadow, is a member of the Neutrals colour group, and is a dark olive green colour and I have teamed it with Flirty Flamingo.

For my card this week I have decided to return to a favourite bundle of mine, Honeybee.

Although you can't really see it from the photo of my card, the starting point was to softly colour the Hive Embossing folder using a Blending Brush and a Flirty Flamingo inkpad just to soften the starkness of the white cardstock.

I have then stamped several of the floral sprays using Black Memento and coloured them with Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. I have also die cut a couple of the reeds using Mossy Meadow cardstock.

This has all been arranged on top of some wound Linen Thread. The sentiment is also from the Honeybee Home stamp set and has been stamped in Mossy Meadow and then die cut using one of the Meadow dies.

Finally I have added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to also break up the starkness of the Basic White cardstock.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Andrea Sargent. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Stampin' Up! Mint Macaron

This week, week 30 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Mint Macaron, is a member of the Subtles colour group, and as the name suggests is a pale mint green colour.

I have been a bit time poor this week as I have had a family member in hospital and have spent my days back and forward to the hospital but thankfully by the time you read this they will be home again. Being time poor I have chosen to go with a layout I have used a similar layout to one I have used here. I have teamed Mint Macaron with White and Pale Papaya.

The background paper is from the Design a Daydream host Designer Paper and I have topped it with a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been embossed using the Stitched Greenery die and then die cut using one of the Split Card Textures dies.

The Floral Sprays are from the Framed Florets bundle and have been coloured using both Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya Stampin Blends. The sprays have been die cut using the matching dies from the Framed Florets dies.

The sentiment is from Go To Greetings and has been embossed in white on Mint Macaron cardstock and then die cut using one of the Tailor Made Tags dies.

Finally I have added a bow using the Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon. After taking the photo I also added a couple of gems but ran out of time to photograph the card again.  So you'll just have to use your imagination.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Stampin' Up! Merry Merlot

This week, week 29 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Merry Merlot, is a member of the Neutrals colour group, which I don't quite understand why and is as the colour suggests, like a glass of Merlot, a deep burgundy.

As I have had to miss the last few weeks of the Heart Of Christmas blog hop I have decided to supplement my Christmas card stash with this week's Colour Creations blog hop card featuring Merry Merlot. I have teamed Merry Merlot with Basic White and a hint of Evening Evergreen to create a Christmas card using the Merriest Moments bundle, which until the 18th November you can get the stamp set for 15% off and the corresponding Embossing folder for 20% off!

The Merry Merlot background cardstock has been embossed using one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders. I have used Basic White cardstock along with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder to create the feature panel. This involves first of embossing the design and then die cutting it with the matching die.

The sentiment panel has been cut using one of the dies from the same die set and has been popped up on Merry Merlot cardstock.

The Poinsettia in the top left hand corner has been stamped in Merry Merlot and die cut with the corresponding dies and the foliage has been done in the same way using Evening Evergreen.

I thought that the plain white cardstock was a bit too bland and so have added some Wink Of Stella to accentuate the foliage veins. You can see it better in the close up below as well as the embossing of the Merry Merlot background.

Finally I have added some Gold Festive Pearls to the centre of the Poinsettia and some Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds to the sentiment panel.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo

This week, week 28 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Melon Mambo, is a member of the Brights colour group and is a lovely bright pink colour.

When planning this weeks card I had in mind that I wanted it to be bright and happy as I had the recipient in mind. I have chosen to combine Melon Mambo with Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana. All lovely happy bright colours.

I have adhered a piece of the "reverse" side of Hues Of Happiness paper to thick Basic White cardstock. I have then added a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been embossed using one of the Lets Celebrate Embossing Folders that features the words Happy Birthday in lots of different languages.

I have then stamped lots of balloons from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set in Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana and then die cut them using the corresponding die from the Celebrating Tags Dies.

The sentiment is also from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo and then die cut using another of the dies from the Celebrating Tags dies.

I have coloured some white Crinkled Seam Binding using Stampin Blends in Melon Mambo and added a bow to look like it is holding the bunch of balloons together.  Finally I have added a couple of Glossy Dots in Melon Mambo.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.
