Stampin' Up! Garden Green

This week, week 22 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Garden Green, is a member of the Regals colour group.

From the outset this week I was very clear that I wanted to finally break open the Potted Geraniums bundle. It seemed the perfect foliage for Garden Green. I have chosen to pair it with Granny Apple Green and Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.

My starting point for the card was to stamp and die cut all of the parts to the Potted Geranium. For the pot I have used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. For the foliage, as mentioned I have used Garden Green and Granny Green Apple and for the flowers, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo. In each case the lighter colour is stamped first and the darker second.

The Potted Geranium has then been mounted onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been die cut using one of the Picture This dies and then embossed using the Brick and Mortar embossing folder. I have tried in the photo below show the embossing but it doesn't appear to be that clear.

This has then been mounted onto a piece of Gingham Cottage paper that features Garden Green. Initially I had removed all of the cut outs but I thought it made the background a bit too bold so I placed the middle cut out back in. This has then been mounted onto a piece of Thick White cardstock.

The sentiment has been stamped in Flirty Flamingo and then die cut using one of the dies from the Geranium dies. I really love this frame.

Finally I have added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies and a bow using White Bakers Twine.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our talented host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Heart of Christmas Week 13

Welcome to Week 13 of the Art With Heart Heart of Christmas. This year we will be hopping weekly until the end of November, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this week's blog hop is once again Sharon Davern.

This week I have decided that I had to get a move on and use the fabulous Tree Trimming dies before they are no longer available to purchase. I have also been loving the Lights Aglow paper so have continued using it in this week's card.

I started by stamping the tree from the Trimming the Tree stamp set in both Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. I then die cut it using the dies from the Tree Trimming die set. The smaller of the dies actually adds texture to the tree but it is a bit hard to see that in this photo.

The tree basket also has a die for it and I have used Soft Suede cardstock for this.

I have then adhered some Gold Glimmer paper to a piece of Adhesive Sheet and then die cut the ornaments and star for the tree. This has all been popped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that has been cut using one of the Deckled Rectangle dies, using Dimensionals.

I have then die cut some Distressed Gold Specialty paper using one of the corner sets of dies from Fabulous Frames dies. The photo below shows the frames in closer detail.

This has then all been mounted onto a piece of the Lights Aglow paper.

The sentiment  is from the Trimming the Tree stamp set and has been stamped in Versamark and embossed in Gold. This has then been die cut using one of the frame dies from the Tree Trimming Dies. I have posted a closer photo below to show the lovely detail in the frame die.

Finally I have added some Gold Adhesive Backed Pearls to both the corner frames and sentiment panel.

Stampin' Up! Fresh Freesia

This week, week 21 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Fresh Freesia, is a member of the In Colours colour group for 2021-23.

I started this card not really knowing what direction I was going to take but that I wanted to colour  piece of the Perfectly Penciled Paper using Fresh Freesia and one of the In Colours from this year, Parakeet Party. I then went searching on Pinterest for a layout that would work and came across this one.

Here is my version of the sketch featuring Fresh Freesia, and added in Parakeet Party.

I have mounted the coloured piece of Perfectly Penciled paper onto one of the reverse sides of Butterfly Kisses, featuring Fresh Freesia.

The central and focal point of my card is an image from Blessings of Home that has been coloured using Fresh Freesia and Parakeet Party Stampin Blends and then die cut with the corresponding die.

I have mounted this onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that I have die cut using one of the Painted Labels dies and then embossed using the "Splatter"folder of the Stripes and Splatters Embossing folders.

This has then been mounted onto another reverse sided piece of Butterfly Kisses that has been die cut using one of the Deckled Rectangle dies.

I have added a couple of die cuts from Flowers of Home dies to the left side of this panel and few Loose Flower Flourishes to the right.

The sentiment is also from Blessings of Home and has been stamped onto Fresh Freesia cardstock and embossed in White. Finally it was die cut using one of the Sending dies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is my talented upline Christine Blain. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Heart of Christmas Week 12

Welcome to Week12 of the Art With Heart Heart of Christmas. This year we will be hopping weekly until the end of November, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this week's blog hop is the lovely Tina Gillespie.

Following on from last week's blog whilst I had the Decorated  Pines dies out I decided to create another card. This time featuring the bell shaped die. I have also continued to use the gorgeous Lights Aglow paper.

Once again I have die cut the feature shape using the Gold Glimmer paper and have used Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the infill. I have also die cut the bow from Gold Glimmer paper.

I have mounted all of this onto Very Vanilla cardstock that has been die cut using one of the Fabulous Frames dies. The greeting, from the Decorated With Happiness stamp set has been stamped directly onto the frame and embossed using Gold embossing powder.

This has then all been mounted onto a piece of the Lights Aglow Specialty Paper and then onto a piece of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and finally onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

I have added a band and bow using Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon and added a few of the Gold Adhesive Backed Pearls.

Stampin Up! Flirty Flamingo

This week, week 20 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Flirty Flamingo, is a member of the Brights colour group and is a pink colour.

After admiring other team members creations using Hues of Happiness paper and the Blossoming Happiness dies, that can be used to die cut the flowers and leaves in the beautiful paper, I decided that this week I would have a play and create using Flirty Flamingo.

My starting point and focal point for the card was to die cut the flowers and leaves as described. As I am not a fan of fussy cutting this made it a breeze.

I have then mounted this arrangement of flowers and leaves onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been die cut using both the "garland"die and one of the Scalloped Contour dies.

I have then mounted this onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock that has also bee die cut using the largest of the Scalloped Contour dies.

This has then been mounted onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been embossed using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder that had been coloured with Flirty Flamingo ink using a Blending Brush. Doing this only the raised parts of the cardstock are coloured to give some dimension.

The sentiment has been stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut using one of the Finally I have added a couple of Pink Pastel Pearls.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Di Furness I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

Heart of Christmas Week 11

Welcome to Week 9 of the Art With Heart Heart of Christmas. This year we will be hopping weekly until the end of November, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.

This week I have decided to have a play with the Decorated Pines dies. These dies can also be bundled with the stamp set Decorated With Happiness. I started by die cutting the Pine Leaf branch using one of the Lights Aglow Specialty papers. It's a mottled paper which I thought worked well for the Pine branch.

I have then die cut a couple of the ornaments from both Gold Glimmer paper and Evening Evergreen cardstock. I have used the Evening Evergreen for the infill of the ornaments. The bows attached to the ornaments have been die cut using Real Red Glimmer paper.

I have then mounted all of this on another piece of the Lights Aglow Specialty paper. I have then used a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty paper and die cut it using the largest of the Fabulous Frames dies.

I have then mounted all of this onto a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. I have also added some Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon, both in a band around the card and a bow. Finally I have added a few Festive Pearls in Soft Succulent.

The sentiment is from Brightest Glow and has been stamped in Evening Evergreen and die cut using one of the Labels Aglow dies.
