Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Gorgeous Grape

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Gorgeous Grape, a lovely bold purple colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Whisper White and Old Olive.

When I first started thinking about Gorgeous Grape the first type of flowers I thought of were Iris's. They would hands down be one of my favourite flowers. So I thought it was time to ink up the Inspiring Iris stamp set for the first time. I must say one of the advantages of partaking in these blog hops is that it gives you a reason to challenge yourself and use a stamp set that hasn't seen any ink yet! Inspiring Iris is a 2 step stamp set, where you have one stamp for the outline, which in my case I used Black Memento ink for, and a second stamp for the fill of the stamp, which in my case I used Gorgeous Grape for the flowers and Old Olive for the stems and leaves. When looking for some ribbon to add i noticed that the Tricolour ribbon worked beautifully. For the bling I have added some Basic Rhinestone jewels which I have coloured using Stampin Blends.

For my second card I have used the Banner Blooms die with some of the gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

It's actually a quick simple card to make as the Rainbow Glimmer Paper does all the work. Just die cut, stamp the sentiment, add a bow and some bling with the Artistry Blooms Sequins, and it's done!

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Garden Green

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring Garden Green. One of the colours from the Regals collection of colours. This week I have chosen to use Garden Green in a Christmas card and use some of the DSP from the current mini catalogue.

Both of the Designer Series Papers are from the Poinsettia Place pack, which by the way will be on sale soon. The actual Poinsettia flower has been stamped in Soft Suede and then die cut with the matching dies from the Poinsettia Petals bundle. The Garden Green and Pear Pizazz leaves have been die cut using one of the dies from the Beautiful Boughs dies, and the seed pod stem has been die cut from Brass foil using one of the Poinsettia dies.  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Christmas. Then finally a bit of bling using the Gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim combo pack, and some Gold metallic pearls for the flower centre.

Heart Of Christmas - September 2020

Welcome to another month of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas. Another month has passed already. They seem to be going relatively quickly even though here in Melbourne we are in a tough period of lockdown for Covid 19.

For one of the other regular blog hops that I take part in I had the Posted for You stamp set and matching punch out and so decided to keep the theme going and use it for this month's Heart of Christmas.

The sweet little birds have been coloured with Real Red and Mossy Meadow Stampin Blends and then punched out using the matching Rectangular Postage Stamp punch.  I have then mounted them on some Red foil, and then mounted them on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that has been embossed using one of the Wrapped in Texture embossing folders. This has then been mounted on a piece of DSP from the Heartwarming Hugs pack which has also been embossed using Tasteful Textile folder. The sentiment is from the Tree Angle stamp set.
I have also made an envelope to match, using the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and the Envelope dies from the current Mini catalogue. For a bit of bling I have added some Red Rhinestones.

If you scroll back to my previous post you will see how I have used the same stamp set but in a different way, just going to show how versatile some of he Stampin'Up! stamp sets are.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Flirty Flamingo

Welcome back to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.  This week we are featuring Flirty Flamingo, one of the colours from the Brights collection of colours. For my card this week I have chosen to team it with Whisper White, Basic Black and Silver.

For my card I have chosen to ink up Posted for You for the first time. I find Flirty Flamingo to be a very bold and quite bright colour, so rather than compete with other colours I have teamed it with basics.  I have used several different embossing folders. Firstly the Flirty Flamingo has been embossed with the Dainty Diamonds folder and then the Basic Black has been embossed with one of the folders from the Wrapped in Texture duo from the current mini catalogue.

The Silver foil has been die cut using one of the Ornate border dies and the sentiment , from the Posted For you stamp set is stamped on a piece of card die cut from one of the Field Tiles dies. The flowers have been coloured using the Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizazz markers.
All in all I'm quite happy with how this card has turned out considering I wasnt at all sure how I was going to use Flirty Flamingo as it is such a strong colour.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase: Early Espresso

Welcome back to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase.  This week we are featuring Early Espresso, one of the colours from the Neutrals collection of colours. For my cards this week I have chosen to team it with Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze.

For my first card I have inked up for the first time the Birds and Branches stamp set and used the coordinating Birds and More dies. After I had die cut the circular piece in the middle of the card I embossed it with my favourite folder, Subtle. When I looked at the cardstock it had small flecks of a darker colour which must have been on the folder already but I actually thought it gave it rustic type of look so used it!

For the birds I initially stamped them with Crumb Cake followed by Early Espresso and then for the wings I stamped off first in Cajun Craze.  There is also a piece of woodgrain DSP behind the circular die cut from the In Good Taste DSP.

For my second card I have still used the same colour combo as I really like it and chosen to feature the Forever Fern stamp set and matching dies.

The die cuts are mounted on a piece of DSP from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP which is in the Handmade for You Mini catalogue. Once again I have used the Subtle embossing folder to add some texture.

For my third and final card I had some of the die cuts left from my previous card so decided to use them and team them with another piece of DSP from the Gilded Autumn Specialty paper.

It's hard to tell from this photo but the Early Espresso piece of cardstock has been stamped with the  "sprinkle "stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set and then the cardstock has been embossed also with the Subtle folder. I know there's a common theme but I do really think it all coordinates well together.
