Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Mint Macaron

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Mint Macaron which is a lovely as the name suggests a lovely mint green colour which belongs to the Subtle colour group.

I had all intentions this week to bring you 2 cards but unfortunately my 98 year old mother was  hospitalized  again this morning. This is the second time in only a couple of months so I have had to go with my initial creation and I was determined not to miss a week.

I thought it was time that I inked up the beautiful Life is Beautiful stamp set which is one of our million dollar sales stamp sets by LeeAnn Gref. My initial inspiration came from the DSP which is from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP pack and I have embossed it using the Subtle folder but it is a bit hard to see from my photo. The rest is quite self explanatory and all from the same stamp set. Then I have just added some Vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery combo pack and a couple of Champagne Rhinestones to finish it off.

Sorry to be so short and sweet but I'm a bit time poor this week. Hopefully things will be more back on track next week when we feature Misty Moonlight, one of this years In Colours which I absolutely love.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Merry Merlot

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Merry Merlot which strangely enough is from the Neutrals colour group. I automatically thought of Christmas cards when I started thinking about this weeks cards, which is probably a good thing as I still need to make a few more for this year. This week I have 2 cards to share with you.

For my first card I chosen to CASE the card on page 40 of the August to December mini. I have teamed the Merry Merlot with Mossy Meadow and Sahara Sand. I had a lot of fun using my Stamparatus to create this card and ended up with very inky fingers, but I could not have done it without the Stamparatus. The white blossom on the wreath has been heat embossed to add some texture and I've added a couple of Beaded Pearls for some enhancement. I think they tie in beautifully don't you?

For my second card I have chosen to use a technique that seems to be quite popular at the moment and one that I have been wanting to give a go.

It's actually really quite simple once you find out how it is done. Just using 3 circle dies which increase in size. All in all it's a quick effective card to put together when time is short. Once again I have teamed Merry Merlot with Mossy Meadow and Sahara Sand.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Melon Mambo

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Melon Mambo which is from the Brights colour group. This week I have 2 cards to share with you.

This week I have decided to ink up a stamp set that has been sitting on my shelf unopened so far. Basket of Blooms. I first started by stamping one of the pot images and one of the fronds images and then colouring them with my Stampin' Blends. I also stamped a couple of the flower images and punched them out with the matching punch and coloured them with Blends as well. I then die cut this piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the Ornate dies and then mounted it on a piece of DSP from the Brights Assortment pack which had been embossed using the Tasteful Textile folder.

From the photo above you can also see that I have added a twine bow. This twine is actually from the Playful Pets Trim combo pack and I have used my Stampin' Blends once a gain to colour the twine to match.

For my second card I have chosen to use the brand new Quite Curvy bundle. I absolutely love how the dies match the beautiful stamps so no fussy cutting is required!

The floral sprays and cute little birds have been coloured using Stampin' Blends using Melon Mambo and Granny Green Apple. I just love the crispness of the Melon Mambo with the Whisper White.
