AWH Heart of Christmas 2026 Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. I wasn't able to partake in our first week but will be doing my best to partake in as many as possible over the next couple of months. It's a great way to get a head start before the festive season is upon us.

This year we will be hopping weekly, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.

For my first blog hop for the Heart Of Christmas I have chosen to feature the beautiful  Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper which also happens to be the paper where $4.25 AUD from every pack purchased is donated to organizations to help spread a little holiday cheer.

I have let the paper be the feature and added a couple of die cut trees using Holly Jolly Branches dies. One has been cut using Pretty Peacock cardstock and then embossed in silver using a stamp from the Holly Jolly Branches stamp set. The smaller tree has been die cut using the same die set but smaller, using white cardstock and then sponged using Soft Sea Foam ink.

The sentiment from the Magical Christmas Hot Foil dies has been foiled in silver onto Pretty Peacock cardstock and then die cut. This was one of my first attempts at foiling and I have to say I am a big fan. The stars are also foiled in silver using the same Hot Foil die. I have used the Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle to the trees on the paper.

All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock that has been embossed using the gorgeous Softly Woven 3D Embossing folder and then mounted onto white cardstock.

For the inside of the card I have stamped one of the trees from the  Holly Jolly Branches stamp set in Pretty Peacock onto white cardstock and then die cut it using the corresponding dies. The sentiment from the Stitched Stocking stamp set has been stamped in Pretty Peacock as well. Finally the flap of the envelope has been  decorated using another piece of the Whispering Woods DSP.
