Welcome to Week 5 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. I will be doing my best to partake in as many as possible over the next couple of months as it's a great way to get a head start before the festive season is upon us.
This year we will be hopping weekly, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.
You may recall that for last week's card I used the arch in the Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil dies to create my card. Well this left me with the embossed card surround and this has been sitting on my craft desk all week so I decided to create a sort of "looking through a window" scene, as if you were looking through an arched window.
The night sky has been created using Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy inks and blending brushes. To create the falling snowflakes I have used our relatively new White Gel pens.
The houses and background trees have been die cut using the Welcome Noel dies. Before cutting the houses, they were stamped in Pecan Pie on White card.
Its a bit hard to see but I have "coloured" the tree tops and foreground to look like snow using Wink of Stella. It is very hard to photograph but this might give you an idea.
The greeting has been created using the Magical Christmas Hot Foil die with Gold foil onto Misty Moonlight card. I had some leftover Gold Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper with adhesive sheets attached, from last week, so I have used this to die cut the stars.
I have kept the iside simple by just mounting a piece of white card onto a piece of the Whispering Woods DSP and stamping the greeting from Noel Tidings in Misty Moonlight. Finally adding another gold star. This time a gold foiled one.
