AWH Heart of Christmas Week 8

Welcome to Week 8 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. I will be doing my best to partake in as many as possible over the next couple of months as it's a great way to get a head start before the festive season is upon us.

This year we will be hopping weekly, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.

This week's card features the Festive Cheer bundle which is an Online Exclusive, along with the colour combination of Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Beige.

I started by stamping a couple of the ornaments in Cherry Cobbler onto Basic Beige card and then die cut using the matching Festive Cheer dies. I have also die cut the ornament top and bows in Cherry Cobbler card. Its best to adhere the card to Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to make it easier to adhere to the base. I have also used the adhesive sheets for the gold ornament strings.

The pine fronds have been die cut using the Festive Cheer die and Mossy Meadow card  and the branches using Pecan Pie card. The berries have been cut using the die from Festive Cheer and red Timeless Metallic Specialty DSP. Once again Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets have helped.

The greeting also from the Festive Cheer stamp set has been embossed in gold onto Mossy Meadow card and then cut using one of the Nested Essentials dies. All of this has then been adhered to Basic Beige card that has been dry embossed using the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered to a piece of A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.

A couple of Metallic Adhesive gems have been adhered to the centre of each of the ornaments.

I have continued the same theme on the inside of the card with another strip of the DSP, a small piece of pine fond and a Cherry Cobbler ornament. The envelope has also been decorated with a piece of the same A Little Christmas DSP.
