Stampin' Up! Cajun Craze Birthday

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week our feature colour is Cajun Craze which is quite a polarizing tan colour.

As Cajun Craze is such a strong colour I struggled what other colours to coordinate it with, so I ended up going with good old Basic White and Black.

The DSP I have used in the background is from the In The Wild pack and it is hard to see but I have actually embossed it using the Painted Texture embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set but I have masked the stamp so as to remove the words in the middle (a little bit late). The banner at the top and bottom as well flags in the left top corner are all from the Stitched Triangle dies. The flags in the top corner have been die cut from the "returning favourite"Black Glimmer paper which will be available to purchase next month. The stars have been die cut using another new specialty paper, Silver foil Specialty paper and I have used the Brushed Finish one. This will also be available in the upcoming mini.

I have also made another card featuring Cajun Craze but I will share that with you later in the week.

Next in the Blog Hop tonight is Andrea Sargent. If you click on the button below it will take you to her blog where you can see her latest lovely creation. If the "next" button link is not working of you would like to see a full list of participants then go to Cathy Proctor's blog   .

Holly Jolly Christmas

Welcome to another week of The Heart Of Christmas where members of the Art With Heart team are sharing their Christmas creations in a blog hop. This week our host is the lovely Sharon Davern.

Finally some of my new goodies from the yet to be released June to December mini catalogue arrived. There are so many beautiful new Stampin' Up! products in this new catalogue and not only for Christmas. One of the stand out choices for me was the Painted Christmas Suite which included 2 stamp sets, DSP, ribbon and some gold leaves. For me the holly, berries and pine cones all epitomize Christmas.

The colour scheme I have gone with is Evening Evergreen Pear Pizzazz and Real Red. On the Evening Evergreen base I have adhered one of the Pine needle die cuts in Pear Pizzazz and I ahve sponged the edges to add some depth. I've then cut several different pieces from the dies in the Christmas Season bundle, one from the beautiful matching DSP, one from vellum and a top one from real Red which I have heat embossed the greeting from Christmas to Remember. I just think all of the elements from the is suite just go so beautifully together which is something that Stampin' Up! do so well. I've also die cut a couple of stamped holly leaves and berries for added depth.

The ribbon, Cherry Cobbler and Gold metallic ribbon is also from the same suite.

For the inside of the card I've stamped another of the greetings from the Christmas To Remember stamp set and added another couple of holly leaves and berries.

I'm sure that this suite of products is going to feature a lot in this year's cards.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Vicki Boucher.  Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her lovely creation. If the button link is not working then you can go to Sharon Davern's blog for a full list of participants in tonight's blog hop.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop : Week 5 Blackberry Bliss

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week our feature colour is Blackberry Bliss, one of our colours from the Regals collection.

Blackberry Bliss is another strong colour and rather than choosing a colour combo to go with it I have taken my inspiration from the Pansy Petals DSP.

I have started by embossing a piece of the DSP using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and the die cutting a piece of Basic White cardstock using one of the Scalloped Contours dies and then mounting the Pnasy on top of that. The pansy has been die cut using the Pansy Dies in Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia. The leaves have been die cut using the same dies but Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent cardstock.  The whole process is a bit fiddly but definitely worth the time.

For a bit of bling I've added a couple of 2021-23 In Colour Jewels and a very cute Bumblebee Trinket.

I have made another card featuring Blackberry Bliss that I will share with you later this week, so make sure you pop back to have a look.

Stampin' Up! Bermuda Bay Batik

As mentioned in my last post for the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase I have another card I made using Bermuda Bay. This time I have teamed it with Granny Green Apple and Pool Party.

As a quilter or patchworker this bundle, Batik Boutique was one that I had to have as I absolutely love Batik fabric. I have die cut the Batik motif using Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party and also a piece of Pool Party DSP. The leaves have been die cut using Granny Green Apple. For the background I have alos embossed a piece of the Pool Party DSP using the Tasteful Textile folder. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and has been embossed in white on a Tag cut from the new Tailor Made Tags dies.

For the inside of the card I have used the matching stamp set in the same 3 colours, Bermuda Bay, Granny Green Apple and Pool Party and then die cut the image using the matching die.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Enjoy your week

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Purple Posy

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring one of the colours from the 2019 -2020, and soon to be retired In Colours, Purple Posy. Purple Posy is a lovely soft purple and this week I have teamed it with Basic White and Mint Macaron.

I decided it was time to ink up a stamp set that I have had in my collection for sometime but not got around the using, Bloom and Grow. This stamp set also comes with matching dies, Budding Blooms.

I have stamped 3 of the images in Black Memento ink and them coloured them with Purple Posy and Mint Macaron blends and then die cut them with the matching dies, and overlapped them to create a wreath. It's a bit hard to tell but the Basic White cardstock has been embossed using my favourite folder, Subtle.  Here's a close up but I still dont think it is easy to see.

The sentiment has been stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed using White embossing powder. The sentiment is from Borders Abound and I just love the delicateness of the font. I've used a die from Ornate Frames to cut it out. Finally I have coloured some Metallic Edge Ribbon with the Purple Posy Stampin Blends to coordinate, and added a couple of Faceted Dots, which are actually retired but you could also use the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots instead.
