Heart of Christmas Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie and it will be our last Heart Of Christmas blog hop for 2021. I hope that you have enjoyed the creations we have shared with you each week and it has given you inspiration.

This week I have 2 simple cards to share with you, both of which feature the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder DSP which although is not the traditional christmas colours which I tend to favour, I have absolutely loved.

For my first card I have started with a piece of the DSP and chosen a couple of the colours in it to highlight. I have die cut a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then embossed it using one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders.

For the ornament I have used Polished Pink cardstock for the base and then added the detail using Silver foil. The sentiment has been embossed using Silver and then die cut with one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally a bow using Simply Elegant trim and a few Rhinestone jewels.

For my second card I have used a different piece of DSP but still from the same pack. I have used the very pretty pale pink snowflake paper.

To coordinate with the DSP I have embossed a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using one of the Wintry folders with snowflakes. For this card the background of the ornament has been die cut using Blushing Bride and the detail using Silver foil again.

As with my first card the sentiment has been embossed in silver and I have used the Simply Elegant trim for a bow and a few Rhinestone jewels.

Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo

Welcome to week 26 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Melon Mambo which is one of the Brights colours and is a bright pink.

For my card this week I have chosen to team Melon Mambo with Black, White and Grey and have chosen Colour and Contour as the stamp set to use. I have also chosen the flip side of a piece of the Peaceful Place DSP which is a plaid pattern.

I have used the splotched stamp in Grey Granite to break up the background and die cut the base of the Basic White cardstock using the scalloped edge die in the coordinating die set, Scalloped Contours. The flower stems have been stamped using Black memento as have the flower images. Both have been die cut using the corresponding dies. I have also coloured the flowers using Melon Mambo Stampin Blends. For the flower centres I have used the Metallic Pearls.

The sentiment is also from the Colour and Contour stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo and then die cut using one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally some Black and White Gingham ribbon to finish with.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Gorgeous Grape Wishes

Welcome to week 19 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Gorgeous Grape which is from the Brights colour group. Gorgeous Grape is a very strong purple colour.

As I find Gorgeous Grape to be a very strong purple colour I have decided to try and tone it down a bit this week and created my own background by using the  Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks. That way I could determine the depth of the colour used. I've also chosen to stamp off the larger flowers so they aren't as bold.

To create the background I've used Gorgeous Grape and blending brushes. That way the colour can be lighter. As mentioned I've stamped off the main flowers in Gorgeous Grape and the smaller flowers are in So Saffron. The leaves have been stamped in Pear Pizzazz. Once all of the stamping was finished I have then die cut the flowers using the corresponding dies. This has then been mounted on a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been die cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies. The sentiment is from Queen Anne's Lace and has been embossed in white on Gorgeous Grape cardstcok and then die cut using one of the Ornate Frames dies. For the flower centres I have added some of the beautiful Pastel Pearls.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Andrea Sargent. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation they share with us tonight.

If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then go to Catherine Proctor's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Remember to come back again next week when our feature colour will be Granny Green Apple another one of the Bright colours..

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Purple Posy

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring one of the colours from the 2019 -2020, and soon to be retired In Colours, Purple Posy. Purple Posy is a lovely soft purple and this week I have teamed it with Basic White and Mint Macaron.

I decided it was time to ink up a stamp set that I have had in my collection for sometime but not got around the using, Bloom and Grow. This stamp set also comes with matching dies, Budding Blooms.

I have stamped 3 of the images in Black Memento ink and them coloured them with Purple Posy and Mint Macaron blends and then die cut them with the matching dies, and overlapped them to create a wreath. It's a bit hard to tell but the Basic White cardstock has been embossed using my favourite folder, Subtle.  Here's a close up but I still dont think it is easy to see.

The sentiment has been stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed using White embossing powder. The sentiment is from Borders Abound and I just love the delicateness of the font. I've used a die from Ornate Frames to cut it out. Finally I have coloured some Metallic Edge Ribbon with the Purple Posy Stampin Blends to coordinate, and added a couple of Faceted Dots, which are actually retired but you could also use the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots instead.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.
