Stampin' Up! So Saffron

Welcome to week 44 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is So Saffron, which is a member of the Subtles colour group. So Saffron is a colour that I don't tend to use very much but now that I have had another play with it I'm actually not quite sure why that is.

This week I have decided to finally ink up the Blessings of Home stamp set and teamed So Saffron with Soft Succulent and White.

My starting point for this card was to stamp the largest spray image in Black Memento ink and then colour the image using So Saffron, Soft Succulent and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends. I then die the image with the corresponding die. I have then mounted this image on a piece of Vellum that has been both die cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies and then embossed using one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders. I have then mounted this on a piece of DSP from the Heart and Home pack. I have also embossed this using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder as I felt the paper needed a softening a bit i line with the subtle colours of the card. You can see the embossing in more detail in the photo below.

After sponging the edges of the paper I then mounted this on So Saffron cardstock and then on to Soft Succulent and the finally on Basic White. The sentiment is from the Art Gallery stamp set in Soft Succulent and die cut using the corresponding die. Finally for some bling I have added a few In Colour Jewels and a couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Heart of Christmas Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie and it will be our last Heart Of Christmas blog hop for 2021. I hope that you have enjoyed the creations we have shared with you each week and it has given you inspiration.

This week I have 2 simple cards to share with you, both of which feature the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder DSP which although is not the traditional christmas colours which I tend to favour, I have absolutely loved.

For my first card I have started with a piece of the DSP and chosen a couple of the colours in it to highlight. I have die cut a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then embossed it using one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders.

For the ornament I have used Polished Pink cardstock for the base and then added the detail using Silver foil. The sentiment has been embossed using Silver and then die cut with one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally a bow using Simply Elegant trim and a few Rhinestone jewels.

For my second card I have used a different piece of DSP but still from the same pack. I have used the very pretty pale pink snowflake paper.

To coordinate with the DSP I have embossed a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using one of the Wintry folders with snowflakes. For this card the background of the ornament has been die cut using Blushing Bride and the detail using Silver foil again.

As with my first card the sentiment has been embossed in silver and I have used the Simply Elegant trim for a bow and a few Rhinestone jewels.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Catherine Proctor. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Tina Gillespie's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 5 : Blushing Bride

Welcome back to week 5 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Blushing Bride. Blushing bride is a colour from the Subtles Colour Collection.

For my Colour Creations Showcase I have chosen to feature a new bundle released in the new Annual Catalogue called All Things Fabulous.

I started by stamping the Birch background stamp onto Sahara Sand cardstock. The flowers have been stamped using the Two (well three) step process onto Whisper white cardstock, starting with Blushing Bride, followed by Flirty Flamingo and finally Poppy Parade. The leaves have been stamped in Pear Pizazz. They have then all been die cut with the matching dies from the bundle. The Whisper white cardstock behind the flowers has been dry embossed with one of the new smaller embossing folders from the Meadow Moments duo. The sentiment is also from the All things Fabulous stamp set. I'm not sure if you can see it but I have added a bit of bling to the flower centres by adhering some of the opaque Elegant Faceted Gems. To help to ensure the placement of the individual stamps when stamping the flowers I relied on the Stamparatus.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.
