Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Melon Mambo

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Melon Mambo which is from the Brights colour group. This week I have 2 cards to share with you.

This week I have decided to ink up a stamp set that has been sitting on my shelf unopened so far. Basket of Blooms. I first started by stamping one of the pot images and one of the fronds images and then colouring them with my Stampin' Blends. I also stamped a couple of the flower images and punched them out with the matching punch and coloured them with Blends as well. I then die cut this piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the Ornate dies and then mounted it on a piece of DSP from the Brights Assortment pack which had been embossed using the Tasteful Textile folder.

From the photo above you can also see that I have added a twine bow. This twine is actually from the Playful Pets Trim combo pack and I have used my Stampin' Blends once a gain to colour the twine to match.

For my second card I have chosen to use the brand new Quite Curvy bundle. I absolutely love how the dies match the beautiful stamps so no fussy cutting is required!

The floral sprays and cute little birds have been coloured using Stampin' Blends using Melon Mambo and Granny Green Apple. I just love the crispness of the Melon Mambo with the Whisper White.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Next week our feature colour will be Merry Merlot, which strangely enough is one of the Neutral colours , so don't forget to pop back and check out the creations.

Enjoy your week

  5. I love your basket of bloom card, Theresa, with all the texture and colour. I was wondering what twine that was, until I read that you coloured it with blends, cool!

  6. Beautiful cards, T! You've used some of my favourite things on your first card (the ornate frame, embossing DSP, polka dots). It's beautifully put together, and I love the custom-coloured twine. Your second card is gorgeous; I agree with you about the lovely, crisp, look of Melon Mambo and white ... and you've used that gorgeous bundle beautifully.
