This week, week 31 in the Colour
Creations blog hop we continue our journey featuring all of the Core
Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour
Mossy Meadow, is a member of the Neutrals colour group, and is a dark olive green colour and I have teamed it with Flirty Flamingo.
For my card this week I have decided to return to a favourite bundle of mine, Honeybee.
Although you can't really see it from the photo of my card, the starting point was to softly colour the Hive Embossing folder using a Blending Brush and a Flirty Flamingo inkpad just to soften the starkness of the white cardstock.
I have then stamped several of the floral sprays using Black Memento and coloured them with Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. I have also die cut a couple of the reeds using Mossy Meadow cardstock.
This has all been arranged on top of some wound Linen Thread. The sentiment is also from the Honeybee Home stamp set and has been stamped in Mossy Meadow and then die cut using one of the Meadow dies.
Finally I have added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to also break up the starkness of the Basic White cardstock.
Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Andrea Sargent. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation.

This is such a pretty card, Theresa! I love the way you softly coloured the embossed hive layer - it gives such a lovely effect.
ReplyDeleteYour blending on the hive background is lovely and soft and I adore those reed die cuts added to your feature image in the centre. Lovely colour combination, Theresa.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so soft and sweet. The gentle background inking is lovely, as is the texture of the embossing. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteA delightfully pretty card Theresa. Your soft blending of the embossed background adds a special touch. Beautiful colouring of the flowers. Xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card, T. The subtle colour provided by the inked embossing folder, and the iridescent gems, is absolutely gorgeous. I love the softness of the Flirty Flamingo with the strong Mossy Meadow.
