Stampin' Up! Pear Pizzazz

Welcome to week 34 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pear Pizzazz which is one of my favourite greens that Stampin' Up! has and is from the Subtle colour group .

For my card today I have chosen to combine Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral and little bit of Crumb Cake. I have also inked up one of the stamp sets from the new Mini catalogue, Ranunculus Romance which also has a matching die set. It wasn't until I sat down to write this blog at my desk that I saw that this card is very very similar to one that I made for Old Olive.  Oops oh well obviously it is a layout that I like. Haha.

Strangely enough Stampin' Up! don't have Stampin Blends in Pear Pizzazz so in this case I had to use Write Markers instead for the central Ranunculus flower . I did this by colouring directly onto the stamp with the Write Markers and then stamped the image. For the sprigs underneath, I thought that Calypso Coral was too strong so I have actually used Blending Brushes very lightly on Basic White cardstock and then die cut the sprig.

For the diagonal panel I have also used Blending Brushes very lightly on Basic White cardstock. I have then stamped off  the script image from the same stamp set using Crumb Cake. This has then been die cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies and then embossed using the Timeworn Type folder.

This panel has then been mounted on a piece of the Artfully Composed DSP which has also been die cut using the largest Scalloped Contour die. This has then all been mounted on Thick Whisper White cardstock.

The sentiment is also from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set and has been stamped in Calypso Coral and die cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Finally a bow using 3 strands of Linen Thread and few fluttering Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Woollard. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Mint Macaron

Welcome to week 28 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Mint Macaron which as the name suggests is a mint green colour and is one of the Subtles colours.

This week I have decided to ink up the Flowers of Friendship stamp set again which has a matching punch.

I started by stamping the image in Black Memento ink and then colouring the image using Stampin Blends in both Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya. I have then punched a couple of the flowers and popped them up with dimensionals. For the flower centres I have used some Loose Flowers Flourishes in Pale Papaya. I have then die cut this image using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and has also been stamped in Black Memento and also die cut with a smaller die from the same set.

For the background DSP I have used one of the reverse sides of the Hand Penned DSP and once again embossed it using the Tasteful Textile folder. I really wish that the Subtle folder hadn't been retired as it was perfect for this sort of look.

Finally I have added some Pale Papaya ribbon, both wrapping around the panel and the bow.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rosa Leyden. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart Of Christmas Week 21

Welcome to Week 21 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

For this week's card I decided to open up some new DSP, Ever Eden that is currently available for order as part of the Eden's Garden Collection. Although it is not designed to be used for Christmas the colours lend themselves to being used just for that.

The DSP features Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Gold. I started by embossing the paper using the always favourite Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I actually think that is has made the gold elements in the paper even brighter. I then mounted this paper on Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set and I have embossed it in gold to tie in with the paper. This has been die cut using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then mounted on a piece of the In Colour DSP that has also been die cut using a die from the same set. I have also used some Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent ribbon around the width of the card. I have also die cut some leaves and sprigs also from the Christmas Trimmings dies using Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Brushed Metallic cardstock. Finally a few Gilded Gems for some added gold bling.

Joyful Christmas

Welcome to Week 14 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Tina Gillespie.

This week I have decided to have some fun and ink up the Frosted Gingerbread bundle of products. When this set first came out I wasn't particularly attracted to it but as is usually the case as time has gone on and I have seen lots of lovely creations,I changed my mind and purchased it.

Both pieces of the background DSP come from the returning pack, Heartwarming Hugs, which features my favourite Christmas colours, Real Red and Pear Pizzazz. I've then used the banner type die on the border of the second piece of DSP. This has been die cut using Shimmery White cardstock but it's a bit hard to tell in the photo. I have then used one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies to die cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock which I have mounted the Christmas baubles on. The sentiment is from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set.

I have then added some Pearl Jewels to the centre of the bauble and used some White Bakers Twine for the tie for the bauble. I hhave popped these baubles up on some dimensional to give some depth to the card.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Andrea Sargent. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Tina Gillespie's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Stampin' Up! Blushing Bride Best Wishes

Welcome to Week 6 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week our feature colour is Blushing Bride, a very pretty pink colour that belongs to the Subtles group of colours.

This week I decided it was time to show some love to the Pieced Blooms dies which I have had for sometime but not used. As it was, it was quite fortuitous that I had finally decided to replace my 10 plus years of age old Big Shot machine with one of the beautiful new Stampin Cut and Emboss machines. So I make no apology that there is lots of die cutting in this card.

I have chosen to team Blushing Bride with Crumb Cake, Basic White and Pear Pizzazz. I have used a piece of the Subtles DSP Assortments as a background and then built the pot of flowers on top. The pot has actually been die cut using a die from the Perfect Plants dies. All of the flower pieces are from the Pierced Blooms dies including the cute little bow. The sentiment has been stamped in Early Espresso and has been cut using one of the dies from the Ornate frames. Finally I have added some Pastel Pearls to the flower centres.

Next in the blog hop tonight is Sharon Davern. If you click on the button below it will take you to her blog so you can see her lovely creation. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see the entire list of participants go to Cathy Proctor's blog blog.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase Week 9 : Cherry Cobbler

Welcome back to week 9 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler is a colour from the Regals colour collection and is a red type of colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Shaded Spruce in a couple of cards. To me Cherry Cobbler signifies Christmas cards so what better opportunity than to get a start om my Christmas cards for this year.

My first card features a new bundle from the current Annual catalogue, called Arrange a Wreath. This bundle is not only for Christmas cards though. It can be used for Easter, Birthday, Thanksgiving and even Valentines Day so it is extremely versatile.  To start this card I have dry embossed a piece of Crumb cake cardstock with the Pinewood planks folder to sort of signify a wooden door. I have then die cut one wreath with Whisper White and another with Shaded Spruce. Then I've added a few gems from the Wonderful gems to give some bling and to look like some berries.

It's hard to tell from this photo but the gems actually have gold specks in them. The sentiment is from a new set called Poinsettia Petals and has been stamped and mounted on panels cut from the Stitiched So Sweetly dies.

For my second card I have chosen to feature a returning stamp set and matching punch.

The stamp set is Perfectly Plaid and is matched with the Pine tree punch. The DSP is from a new pack called Plaid Tidings that will be available from next week. I really love this sentiment and it is also from a new offering available from 1st August called Wrapped In Christmas and it is all lovely sentiments. Once again I have added in some bling to the Chrismas tree by adding Red Rhinestone basic jewels and topped the tree with a star cut from silver foil using the Stitched Stars dies.
