Welcome to week 28 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Mint Macaron which as the name suggests is a mint green colour and is one of the Subtles colours.
This week I have decided to ink up the Flowers of Friendship stamp set again which has a matching punch.
I started by stamping the image in Black Memento ink and then colouring the image using Stampin Blends in both Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya. I have then punched a couple of the flowers and popped them up with dimensionals. For the flower centres I have used some Loose Flowers Flourishes in Pale Papaya. I have then die cut this image using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and has also been stamped in Black Memento and also die cut with a smaller die from the same set.
For the background DSP I have used one of the reverse sides of the Hand Penned DSP and once again embossed it using the Tasteful Textile folder. I really wish that the Subtle folder hadn't been retired as it was perfect for this sort of look.
Finally I have added some Pale Papaya ribbon, both wrapping around the panel and the bow.
Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rosa Leyden. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.
If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then this week we have a guest host, the lovely and talented Christine Blain. So if you would like to visit Christine Blain's blog you can see a full list of tonight's participants.
Remember
to come back again next week when our feature colour will be Misty Moonlight one of the 2020-2022 In Colours.

This green pairs so nicely with Pale Papaya; beautiful work, my friend. I love the Loose Flower Flourishes as embellishments for the flower centres, and really like the striped paper embossed to give it a little more "interest". Really lovely Mint Macaron card. x
ReplyDeleteTheresa, your stripped SP background sets off this flower so perfectly - I would never have thought to combine Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron together, but they work so well!
ReplyDeleteThis colour combination is so lovely a perfect pairing Theresa. I’m loving the softness and the floral centres are a very nice touch,.
ReplyDeleteThe vertical striped DSP is lovely behind your pretty flowers with the Flourishes in the centre. Great way to tie in the Pale Papaya ribbon to match your flowers too, beautiful card, Theresa.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card and colour combination, Theresa.
