Heart of Christmas Week 15

Welcome to Week 15 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

For many weeks now I have been admiring the creations of my upline, the lovely Christine Blain using the Bright Baubles bundle in the current mini and finally I relented recently and purchased it! I have also been admiring the sample on page 40 of the mini catalogue and for my first play with the bundle I decided to CASE it.

The Metallic Baubles are created using the Brushed Metallic cardstock and the Metallics embossing powder. I chose the Copppery looking one and matched that with the copper embossing powder. For the lighter bauble I used the lightest of the Brushed Metallic cardstock and the gold embossing powder. Then I have added matching Brushed Metallic Adhesive dots to each of the baubles. Once again used the coppery ones on the Copper looking bauble and the gold ones on the lighter bauble.

I have then mounted these on some Shimmery White cardstock that I have stamped with a greeting from Perfectly Plaid using Night Of Navy. As I didn't have any matching twine for the baubles, I have coloured the White Bakers Twine from the Essential pack using a Night Of Navy Stampin Blend. Finally the greeting panel has also been stamped in Night Of Navy and has been die cut using one of the Hippo and Friends dies.

I have to say that Christine Blain was right in telling me that I would love this bundle as it has lots of versatility and I plan to create more with it in the future.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Michele Taylor . Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Sharon Davern's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Perfectly Plaid Christmas

Welcome to another year of the Art With Heart Heart of Christmas. This year we have decided to go back to weekly blogs as well as reverting to the blog hop format. The host for this week's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.

As this has been scheduled for just after the brand new July to December mini was available for Demonstrators to order from I have had to rely on products from the Annual catalogue.

Perfectly Plaid is a stamp set that has been available for a couple of years now but is still a great one to use for Christmas. This year I have decided to pair if with some of the new Tidings Of Christmas DSP which features a couple of the new In Colours for 2021, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.

For the background I have used the Evergreen Forest embossing folder which features Pine trees just like the ones I have punched out using the Pine Tree punch. As mentioned I have used a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP which i have die cut using one of the Basic Borders dies to make it look like rolling hills. The sentiment is from the Best Year stamp set which has sentiments for all sorts of occasions. This has been stamped on Basic White and then die cut using one of the dies from the Scalloped Contours dies. The beautiful ribbon is the new Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon. Then for a bit of bling I've added some Red Rhinestones.

Next on tonight's blog hop is Tina Gillespie. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her lovely Christmas creation. If the button link is not working or you would like to see the entire list of participants go to Sharon Davern's blog.

If you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or to purchase products from me then click on my Facebook button above and send me a message and I would be more than happy to help.

Enjoy your week

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase Week 9 : Cherry Cobbler

Welcome back to week 9 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler is a colour from the Regals colour collection and is a red type of colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Shaded Spruce in a couple of cards. To me Cherry Cobbler signifies Christmas cards so what better opportunity than to get a start om my Christmas cards for this year.

My first card features a new bundle from the current Annual catalogue, called Arrange a Wreath. This bundle is not only for Christmas cards though. It can be used for Easter, Birthday, Thanksgiving and even Valentines Day so it is extremely versatile.  To start this card I have dry embossed a piece of Crumb cake cardstock with the Pinewood planks folder to sort of signify a wooden door. I have then die cut one wreath with Whisper White and another with Shaded Spruce. Then I've added a few gems from the Wonderful gems to give some bling and to look like some berries.

It's hard to tell from this photo but the gems actually have gold specks in them. The sentiment is from a new set called Poinsettia Petals and has been stamped and mounted on panels cut from the Stitiched So Sweetly dies.

For my second card I have chosen to feature a returning stamp set and matching punch.

The stamp set is Perfectly Plaid and is matched with the Pine tree punch. The DSP is from a new pack called Plaid Tidings that will be available from next week. I really love this sentiment and it is also from a new offering available from 1st August called Wrapped In Christmas and it is all lovely sentiments. Once again I have added in some bling to the Chrismas tree by adding Red Rhinestone basic jewels and topped the tree with a star cut from silver foil using the Stitched Stars dies.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Art With Heart Heart of Christmas July 2020

Welcome to the 2020 Art With Heart Heart of Christmas where once a month team members will be participating in a blog hop featuring Christmas. Last year I was unable to participate due to travel commitments so by the time December came I had hardly made any Christmas cards so this year I intend to be better prepared and what better way than to be part of this.

For the first month I have chosen to feature a brand new bundle from the upcoming August to December mini catalogue which features predominantly lots of beautiful Christmas goodies. For my card I have chosen the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle which features some lovely dies to decorate your envelopes with as well as a lovely bauble stamp and die set.

I have stamped the bauble image in Mossy Meadow firstly and then again with Real Red, which I have die cut and then mixed and matched the two. The lovely DSP is also a new one that is coming in the new mini, called Heartwarming Hugs. I have also decorated the envelope with the same DSP and a couple of the dies from the same bundle. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo but I have also added a peeper of Red foil along the sides as well as used it across the top using one of the dies from the Ornate Border set. Finally a couple of the also new Wonderful Gems for a bit of bling!

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.
