Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry

Welcome to week 40 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Rich Razzleberry, which is another member of the Regals colour group. I have chosen to pair it with Basic White and Old Olive .

This week I have taken my inspiration from the sample on page 37 of the current Mini Catalogue, as this was actually one of the cards that persuaded me to purchase the stamp set, Flowing Flowers.

I started by inking up the largest stamp with a Sponge Dauber with Old Olive and and inked up the leaf area of the stamp. Using my Stamparatus I stamped the image, in some cases several times to get the intensity as daubing doesn't create the same intensity as applying the stamp directly to the ink pad. I then used the same process but using Rich Razzleberry for the flower part of the stamp. For the flower I actually inked the dauber several times for the flower centre to add some depth. I repeated this process for each of the corners of the Basic White cardstock.

I then dry embossed the piece using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I then die cut a few sprigs from the Flowers of Home die set in both the Mother Of Pearl Specialty paper and also from Vellum. I have also added some Wink of Stella to the flower centres which you can see in the photo below.

For the sentiment I have used the Hippo and Friends dies, firstly in Old Olive and then the sentiment panel in Basic White. The sentiment has been stamped using Rich Razzleberry. I have then added a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones and finally this has all been mounted on a piece of the New Horizons DSP and then on Thick White cardstock.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our host Catherine Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Poppy Parade

Welcome to week 37 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Poppy Parade, which is a member of the Brights colour group.

This year I am determined to create more cards for males as I usually have a tendency to make cards for females. This week I have tried to create a card that is suitable for a male but now that I have another look, it would also be suitable for a female car lover. I have finally inked up one of the stamp sets that you can earn during Salebration, Driving By, and I do think it is rather cute.

I started by using 2 different pieces of the All Together Designer Series Paper that is available from now until 2nd May. I have embossed these using the Gingham embossing folder. I have then wrapped some of the Poppy Parade and White Fan Bakers Twine around the belly of the card a few times. I have then die cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock using one of the Hippo and Friends dies and then embossed it using one of the Stripes and Splatters 3D folders. The photo below shows the details of the embossing a bit better.

Next I have stamped the sporty car image from Driving By in black and then coloured it with Poppy Parade and Smokey Slate Stampin Blends. Aren't all sports cars red? Lol!

For the stamped balloons I have used Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends and I have also die cut some balloons in the same colour cardstock.

The sentiment is from Many Messages and has been stamped in Versamark and embossed in white. Finally some white Bakers Twine for the balloon ties and a few Classic Matte Dots in Black, Grey and White.

As I said earlier although I created this card with a male in mind I think it is equally suitable for a car-loving female.

Next in tonight's blog hop the  lovely Sharon Davern. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Don't forget to pop back next week when our feature colour will be Pumpkin Pie which will definitely be a challenge as it is probably one of my least used colours.

Stampin' Up! Pacific Point

Welcome to week 33 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pacific Point which is quite a bold bright blue colour and one that I really don't use very much.

Looking for inspiration I resorted to Pinterest where I found the colour combination that I have used for this card. Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

To start this card I used strips of cardstock of each of the colours and die cut them using the jagged die from the Basic Borders dies and then glued each on top of the other in colour order and repeated this 3 times. I then embossed this piece using one of the new folders from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folders in the new mini catalogue. You can see some of the detail of the embossing closer in the photo below. I then mounted this on Pacific Point cardstock and finally on Night of Navy. I have then added some of the new Denim ribbon along with some Basic White Bakers Twine.

The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays and is actually a bleated birthday sentiment but instead of inking up the whole stamp I used a Pacific Point marker and only coloured the words I wanted to stamp. I have then die cut the sentiment using one of the Hippo and Friends dies.

I have die cut the star spray and the swirl using a couple of dies from the Stitched Stars dies and used the Bermuda Bay part of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Finally I have coloured a few of the Classic Matte Dots using a Bermuda Bay Stampin Blend.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the Art With Heart Team Leader Claire Daly. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Mango Melody

Welcome to week 25 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Mango Melody which is one of the Brights colours and is a very bold bright yellow.

For my card this week I decided that Mango Melody was a good colour to use with the Daisy Lane stamp set which I haven't used for some time. The stamp set also has matching punches and so no need to fussy cut. Always a win for me!

I started by stamping a couple of the daisy branches in Old Olive using my Stamparatus. I then stamped the daisy flowers in Mango Melody and then punched them out using the corresponding punches. I have then mounted the daisies using dimensionals so as to add some depth. For the flower centres I have used the Metallic pearls in gold.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and with this sentiment the card can be used for many different occasions. I have die cut the sentiment using the   Hippo and Friends  dies and then die cut a larger one using the Cork Specialty Paper. Finally a few of the Bumblebee trinkets for some added interest.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Caroline Manwaring. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Heart Of Christmas Week 19

Welcome to Week 19 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

This week I thought it was well and truly time to ink up the Festive Foliage stamp. Festive Foliage is one big stamp and is actually in the Annual Catalogue and not the mini.

I started by stamping the image in Versamark on Vellum and then embossing it with Gold embossing powder. I then started colouring the image using Stampin Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. I'm not really sure what i had hoped to achieve but I then mounted the coloured Vellum on Shimmery White as it's not actually seen through the Vellum. Oh well.

I then mounted the Shimmery White cardstock on some Cherry Cobbler cardstock but not before wrapping some of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon around the panel. The sentiment which has also been embossed in gold is from Holly Jolly Wishes and once stamped and embossed has been die cut using one of the Hippo and Friends dies. Finally a bow using the same ribbon and a few Gilded Gems. I have actually placed these in the corners to cover where I had adhered the vellum to the cardstock using glue.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Kate Morgan. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Sharon Davern's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Heart of Christmas Week 15

Welcome to Week 15 of The Art With Heart Heart Of Christmas blog hop. This week our host is Sharon Davern.

For many weeks now I have been admiring the creations of my upline, the lovely Christine Blain using the Bright Baubles bundle in the current mini and finally I relented recently and purchased it! I have also been admiring the sample on page 40 of the mini catalogue and for my first play with the bundle I decided to CASE it.

The Metallic Baubles are created using the Brushed Metallic cardstock and the Metallics embossing powder. I chose the Copppery looking one and matched that with the copper embossing powder. For the lighter bauble I used the lightest of the Brushed Metallic cardstock and the gold embossing powder. Then I have added matching Brushed Metallic Adhesive dots to each of the baubles. Once again used the coppery ones on the Copper looking bauble and the gold ones on the lighter bauble.

I have then mounted these on some Shimmery White cardstock that I have stamped with a greeting from Perfectly Plaid using Night Of Navy. As I didn't have any matching twine for the baubles, I have coloured the White Bakers Twine from the Essential pack using a Night Of Navy Stampin Blend. Finally the greeting panel has also been stamped in Night Of Navy and has been die cut using one of the Hippo and Friends dies.

I have to say that Christine Blain was right in telling me that I would love this bundle as it has lots of versatility and I plan to create more with it in the future.

Next in tonight's blog hop is Michele Taylor . Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her beautiful creation for tonight. If the button doesn't work then you can always go to Sharon Davern's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.
