Welcome to week 13 of the Art With
Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is
Crumb Cake which is from the Neutrals colour group. This week I have chosen to team it up with Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.
For my card this week I have chosen to try the Double Time stamping technique and have used one of the freebie stamp sets that you can earn during Salebration if you spend in this case $180. It's called Delicate Dahlias and is a 2 step stamp set with some lovely greetings. In my case I have chosen to use the Sympathy sentiment.
I have started by cutting 2 panels and only adhering them slightly so you can separate them once the stamping is complete. Before separating the panels I have run them through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine using the Tasteful Textile folder. It's a bit hard to see in the photo above but hopefully it is a bit clearer in this one.
Once this has been done the panels are then separated and I have mounted them on Crumb Cake cardstock. I have then used some of the Crumb Cake and Vanilla Bakers Twine and a few Champagne Rhinestones. I have stamped the sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake card and then used one of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch punches to cut it out.
I have really enjoyed using this method with this stamp set as it really lends itself to the method.
Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Christine Blain .I look forward to seeing what lovely creation they have to share with us this week as she is always a wonderful enabler..
If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full

Very pretty card and a lovely design for a sympathy card. Love how you have put the panels through the embossing folder before adhering to the crumb cake layers. Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteTheresa, I totally agree - this stamp set just begs to be used in this technique and your card is stunning. Love this colour combination, the embossing of the stamped layer and the combination of Crumb Cake and Vanilla Bakers Twine
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever tried this technique, but might just have to! I love that you left the dahlias just as outlines in the corners, but filling in the solid detail on the main panel - nice detail! Great idea to emboss the stamped panels before matting them, and I love how you've used the baker's twine, T. This is such a pretty colour combination, and makes a beautiful sympathy card, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove this technique and you have perfectly demonstrated with the Dahlia stamps Theresa.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a cool technique, Theresa. I haven't seen this before, but it is so eye catching with the outline image and then the filled coloured Dahlia's in the centre. I love how you use the TIEF on your stamped panels too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card using such a nice stamp, and the stamping technique is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have stamped the shadow of the dahlia inside the middle layer. It adds another layer of wow to the card.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a really effective technique Theresa. The subtle embossing adds a lovely touch of texture.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love how you've only used the flower filler stamp on the top layer. It looks amazing - such a great effect!
ReplyDeleteA very clever use of the two-step stamp Theresa. Great colour choices too.
