Highland Heather

Welcome to week 22 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Highland Heather which is from the Subtles colour group.

For some weeks now I have had a piece of Basic White cardstock that I had embossed using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder sitting on my craft desk so I thought it was time to incorporate it into a card. I also then decided it was time to open up a couple of dies that were still to be opened. Sparkle of the Season and Iconic dies.

I have die cut the wreath using Soft Sea Foam and the flowers are from the Iconic die which a set of all different elements. The flowers have been die cut using Highland Heather. In the case of the flowers there are 3 different sizes and I have just layered them all and popped a Pastel pearl in the flower centre.

The sentiment is from Best Year and has been die cut with yet another die, a Scalloped Contour die. Finally a few more Pastel Pearls and bow using Grosgrain Ribbon.

Although I really love all purple colours I have to say that I found this weeks Colour Creation Showcase challenging. Maybe just a bit of lockdown fatigue setting in! Finally though we get to start to return to some form of normal this week.

Next in tonight's blog hop is my lovely upline Christine Blain . I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight. Christine has the innate ability to be a wonderful enabler.

If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then go to Cathy Proctor's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Remember to come back again next week when our feature colour will be Just Jade which is one of the 2020-22 In Colours .

As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message.

As always enjoy your week.

  1. Theresa I found this colour slightly challenging too, but I love your gorgeous wreath and the colour combination you've used too.

  3. It sure doesn't look like you found this week's "assignment" challenging, my friend! This is such a pretty card, using several beautiful products, all put together beautifully. I love the embossed background, and the fact that the shape of the little flowers complements those in the embossed pattern. Soft Sea Foam is a really pretty green to use with Highland Heather. Love it!
