Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo

Welcome to week 26 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2021. This week's feature colour is Melon Mambo which is one of the Brights colours and is a bright pink.

For my card this week I have chosen to team Melon Mambo with Black, White and Grey and have chosen Colour and Contour as the stamp set to use. I have also chosen the flip side of a piece of the Peaceful Place DSP which is a plaid pattern.

I have used the splotched stamp in Grey Granite to break up the background and die cut the base of the Basic White cardstock using the scalloped edge die in the coordinating die set, Scalloped Contours. The flower stems have been stamped using Black memento as have the flower images. Both have been die cut using the corresponding dies. I have also coloured the flowers using Melon Mambo Stampin Blends. For the flower centres I have used the Metallic Pearls.

The sentiment is also from the Colour and Contour stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo and then die cut using one of the Ornate Frames dies. Finally some Black and White Gingham ribbon to finish with.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then go to Catherine Protor's blog where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.

Remember to come back again next week when our feature colour will be Merry Merlot which strangely enough is classified as one of the Neutrals colours.

As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message.

As always enjoy your week.

  1. Love the colour scheme Theresa and your use of the "splotched" stamp to soften the background. The Metallic Pearls look fantastic in the middle of the flowers!

  2. Great idea, Theresa, to use the plaid side of the DSP to coordinate with that gingham ribbon. Those gorgeous pink flowers really pop!

  3. Beautiful colour combination, T ... and those flowers look so "happy" in Melon Mambo! I love the plaid paper and gingham ribbon details, and those lovely big scallops. Such a pretty card, my friend. x

  4. A lovely card Theresa. Bright pink with grey (as well as Black & White) is a delightful colour combo. Love your scallops at the base of the white panel; the combination of grey plaid and the gingham ribbon works so well, and the Metallic Pearls flower centres. Xxx
