Stampin' Up! Poppy Parade

Welcome to week 37 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Poppy Parade, which is a member of the Brights colour group.

This year I am determined to create more cards for males as I usually have a tendency to make cards for females. This week I have tried to create a card that is suitable for a male but now that I have another look, it would also be suitable for a female car lover. I have finally inked up one of the stamp sets that you can earn during Salebration, Driving By, and I do think it is rather cute.

I started by using 2 different pieces of the All Together Designer Series Paper that is available from now until 2nd May. I have embossed these using the Gingham embossing folder. I have then wrapped some of the Poppy Parade and White Fan Bakers Twine around the belly of the card a few times. I have then die cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock using one of the Hippo and Friends dies and then embossed it using one of the Stripes and Splatters 3D folders. The photo below shows the details of the embossing a bit better.

Next I have stamped the sporty car image from Driving By in black and then coloured it with Poppy Parade and Smokey Slate Stampin Blends. Aren't all sports cars red? Lol!

For the stamped balloons I have used Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends and I have also die cut some balloons in the same colour cardstock.

The sentiment is from Many Messages and has been stamped in Versamark and embossed in white. Finally some white Bakers Twine for the balloon ties and a few Classic Matte Dots in Black, Grey and White.

As I said earlier although I created this card with a male in mind I think it is equally suitable for a car-loving female.

Next in tonight's blog hop the  lovely Sharon Davern. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Don't forget to pop back next week when our feature colour will be Pumpkin Pie which will definitely be a challenge as it is probably one of my least used colours.

Stampin' Up! Pool Party

Welcome to week 36 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pool Party, which is a member of the Subtles colour group.

For this week's card I have chosen to feature a couple of the freebies you can earn during Saleabration, being the stamp set Friendly Hello and the coordinating Designer Series Paper which you can get for free when you spend $180. Both products are some of the nicest freebies Stampin' Up! have had of recent times.

My starting point for this card was to stamp the gorgeous bird image in Memento Black and then colour it using Stampin' Blends in Pool Party, Pale Papaya and Crumb Cake. I have then die cut this using one of the Layering Circles dies and then embossed it using the Tasteful Textile folder. This has then been mounted on a scalloped die cut piece of Pool Party and then finally on Black cardstock that has been die cut using one of the Encircled in Beauty dies. You can see the embossing and the lovely die cut outs a bit clearer on the photo below.

I have then mounted this on a piece of the beautiful paper from Friendly Hello paper. The sentiment has also been stamped in Black Memento and then die cut using one of the Tasteful Labels dies. I have attached a small bow using Black and White Gingham ribbon, which I have just realised has retired, Oops! Finally a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones added to the paper and a Black classic Matte dot for the bird's eye.

Next in tonight's blog hop our lovely host Catherine Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Petal Pink

Welcome to week 35 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Petal Pink, which to me is more like a soft apricot colour.

As this weeks Showcase is the week before Valentine's Day I decided to have a play with some of the new Valentine's Day products in the current mini. Being the thoughtful mother (haha) I also decided to create a card that my son could give his girlfriend. Knowing him well enough I also knew that there could be no mention of the word "love"on it!

All along I had had this vision of the hearts bursting out of the envelope so that became my starting point. The Sweet Heart dies has a cute little envelope along with lots of different heart dies. Fortunately one of those dies also cuts the smaller hearts on one of the Sweet Treats DSPs.

The base of the card has been scored using the Simply Scored plate and tool. It's a bit hard to see in the photo above but a bit clearer on the next one. I have then embossed another piece of the Sweet Treats DSP using one of the Dotty Hearts folders and placed the paper on the same angle.

I have then added some smaller hearts around the envelope, some small red ones to the envelope and also a Petal Pink open heart die. The sentiment is from the corresponding stamp set and is called Sweet Conversations. This has been die cut using one of the Beautiful Trees dies. Finally a couple of Polished Dots.

As the inside of the card is a vast piece of white card I decided to embellish it with some open hearts, choosing some of the colours from the Sweet Treats DSP. I have also stamped a lovely sentiment on the inside which has no mention of "Love you". Haha.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rosa Leyden. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Pear Pizzazz

Welcome to week 34 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pear Pizzazz which is one of my favourite greens that Stampin' Up! has and is from the Subtle colour group .

For my card today I have chosen to combine Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral and little bit of Crumb Cake. I have also inked up one of the stamp sets from the new Mini catalogue, Ranunculus Romance which also has a matching die set. It wasn't until I sat down to write this blog at my desk that I saw that this card is very very similar to one that I made for Old Olive.  Oops oh well obviously it is a layout that I like. Haha.

Strangely enough Stampin' Up! don't have Stampin Blends in Pear Pizzazz so in this case I had to use Write Markers instead for the central Ranunculus flower . I did this by colouring directly onto the stamp with the Write Markers and then stamped the image. For the sprigs underneath, I thought that Calypso Coral was too strong so I have actually used Blending Brushes very lightly on Basic White cardstock and then die cut the sprig.

For the diagonal panel I have also used Blending Brushes very lightly on Basic White cardstock. I have then stamped off  the script image from the same stamp set using Crumb Cake. This has then been die cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies and then embossed using the Timeworn Type folder.

This panel has then been mounted on a piece of the Artfully Composed DSP which has also been die cut using the largest Scalloped Contour die. This has then all been mounted on Thick Whisper White cardstock.

The sentiment is also from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set and has been stamped in Calypso Coral and die cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Finally a bow using 3 strands of Linen Thread and few fluttering Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Woollard. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.
