Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Magenta Madness

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Magenta Madness which is one of this year's In Colours. This week I have 3 cards to share with you. Two birthday cards and one Christmas card.

As you can see Magenta Madness is a bright pink colour and in this card I have created a bright birthday card to look like a wrapped present. To accentuate the DSP to look more like wrapping paper I have embossed it using the Old World paper folder but now that I look at it again it looks more like the wrapping paper has been reused ! Lol!

For my second card I have continued the Bright theme literally! and created a Christmas card.

This time I have paired the Magenta Madness with Gorgeous Grape and taken my inspiration from one of the papers from the Artistry Blooms pack. The "Bright"sentiment has been stamped in Magenta Madness and then mounted on a die cut piece of Rainbow Glimmer paper.

For my third card I have toned down the Magenta Madness by teaming it with another lovely In Colour, Misty Moonlight, to create a birthday card.

It's a bit hard to tell from this photo but I have actually embossed the DSP, which is from the Flowers From Every Season pack, with the Tasteful Textile folder. Although Magenta Madness is used in this card, it's not as bold as the other cards.

So which is your favourite? Personally I can see a place for each one of the cards depending on the personality of the recipient

  2. Theresa, please don't ask me to pick a favourite - they are all lovely. But I'm super impressed with how your first card really does look like a birthday present! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Magenta Madness cards with us tonight!

  6. Oh, your first card sure reminded me of a birthday present that I wanted to rip open. I love your comment about the reused wrapping paper, hehe, you were thinking of the environment, I'm sure! Your other cards are lovely too.

  9. Your first two cards are so bright and fun, Theresa. I have picked a favourite though, and it's card #3. That Misty Moonlight DSP pattern looks just gorgeous with Magenta Madness.

  11. It looks like you had a lot of fun using up your Magenta Madness supplies Teresa! I chuckled at your comment on the first one too - I thought you had deliberately scrunched up the paper to look like that :)
My favourite of the three is the last one. I can't believe how beautiful it looks with the Misty Moonlight - I would never have thought of such a delightful colour combination.
