Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Crushed Curry

Well here we are again for another week of Colour Creations Showcase. This is week 13 and we are featuring Crushed Curry. Crushed Curry is a colour from the Regals collection. In my opinion the colour is like the colour of mustard. This week I have used 2 very different colour combinations.

For my first card I have used  Crushed Curry along with Old Olive and Sahara Sand, and I must say I really love this combination. I have chosen to use the Lovely you bundle which features some foliage elements along with some really lovely sentiments which can then be punched out with the coordinating Lovely Labels Pick a Punch punches. I have stamped the elements in the round and then overlayed a Stitched Circle upon which I have placed a Square Vellum Doily which I have coloured with Stampin Blends. I have also coloured the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding and a couple of Basic jewels, all with the Old Olive Stampin Blend.

For my second card I have used a completely different colour combination that I took from one of the sheets from the Playing With Patterns DSP pack. Crushed Curry, Night of Navy and Purple Posy.

For this card I have broken out the So Much Happy bundle for it's first use and I have to say I can see it being used a lot!  All of the elements, being the balloons, balloon ties, the balloon ribbons and the flag bunting are all dies from the same set. Makes it easy to make a quick and effective card!

Personally I like my first card best but would love to know your thoughts too?

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

To see more of this weeks beautiful creations please hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Please take the time to visit all of the blogs and if you feel so inclined then please leave a comment. Thanks for visiting.
Next week our feature colour will be Daffodil Delight and how appropriate that is as the daffodils are all starting to come out here in Victoria.

Have a good week.

  1. Two very different colour combinations, and card designs, and I love them both! I like the layering of elements (and the coloured vellum doily) on your first card, and (as you may know) am a huge fan of the So Much Happy bundle ... and love what you've done with it on the second card! Cute touch, to add bunting to the smaller part of the sentiment.

  7. Ooh I especially love your first card, Theresa. The colour combination is fantastic, but I really like how you stamped in the round but placed it at the top of the card like that, very cool indeed.
