Stampin' Up! Pool Party

This week, week 39 in the Colour Creations blog hop we continue our journey  featuring all of the Core Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week's feature colour  Pool Party, which is a member of the Subtles colour group.

Once again this week I have chosen to use the lovely Dandy Designs paper which you can earn during Saleabration when you spend $180, but you need to be quick as the offer ends at the end of February.

I have also used one of the new bundles available from the new Mini catalogue, Sentimental Park, and I have teamed this with some favourites from the Annual Catalogue.

My starting point for the card was to emboss a piece of the Dandy Designs paper using the Splatter folder from the Stripes and Splatters 3D embossing folders.  There is a close up below.

I have then adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been die cut using one of the Split Card Textures dies. Using the adhesive sheets makes adhering this to the card easier.

The "Sending" word has been die cut using Basic White and Pool Party cardstock and then mounted using Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Amazing Year, from the Annual Catalogue and has been stamped in Pool Party and die cut using one of the dies from the Sentimental Park dies.

The flower sprigs, from the Sentimental Park stamp set have been stamped using Versamark onto Shimmery White cardstock and then embossed in White. I have then coloured the flowers using Pool Party Stampin' Blends. The flower centres are Pool Party Glossy Dots.

The bow has been tied using White Bakers Twine that has been coloured using Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush, just to soften the starkness of the white.

As I mentioned last week, this year I am making a concerted effort to decorate both the inside of the card and the envelope. This time I have made an envelope liner using the same paper which you can see in the first photo.

For the card inside I have stamped a sentiment also from Amazing Year onto a piece of the same paper from Dandy Designs and then die cut it using another die from Sentimental Park dies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing what she has created for us this week.

  2. Theresa, you've combined so many different products really beautifully on this card, taking your colour inspiration from the gorgeous Dandy Designs DSP. I especially love the way you've used the Pool Party Glossy Dots in the flower centres - they are so very pretty.

  5. You've embossed the DSP again - I think this is your feature, and it looks amazing. Lovely soft and feminine colours and the inside looks great for something a little different!

  6. Oh, pretty! I love the white-on-white look of the matted "Sending" sentiment on the card front. The flower centres really complement the colour variations in the DSP, being a little less green than the Pool Party ink. Your decorated envelope and card inner look lovely, T.
