Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase Week 9 : Cherry Cobbler

Welcome back to week 9 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler is a colour from the Regals colour collection and is a red type of colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Shaded Spruce in a couple of cards. To me Cherry Cobbler signifies Christmas cards so what better opportunity than to get a start om my Christmas cards for this year.

My first card features a new bundle from the current Annual catalogue, called Arrange a Wreath. This bundle is not only for Christmas cards though. It can be used for Easter, Birthday, Thanksgiving and even Valentines Day so it is extremely versatile.  To start this card I have dry embossed a piece of Crumb cake cardstock with the Pinewood planks folder to sort of signify a wooden door. I have then die cut one wreath with Whisper White and another with Shaded Spruce. Then I've added a few gems from the Wonderful gems to give some bling and to look like some berries.

It's hard to tell from this photo but the gems actually have gold specks in them. The sentiment is from a new set called Poinsettia Petals and has been stamped and mounted on panels cut from the Stitiched So Sweetly dies.

For my second card I have chosen to feature a returning stamp set and matching punch.

The stamp set is Perfectly Plaid and is matched with the Pine tree punch. The DSP is from a new pack called Plaid Tidings that will be available from next week. I really love this sentiment and it is also from a new offering available from 1st August called Wrapped In Christmas and it is all lovely sentiments. Once again I have added in some bling to the Chrismas tree by adding Red Rhinestone basic jewels and topped the tree with a star cut from silver foil using the Stitched Stars dies.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase: Week 8 Calypso Coral

Welcome back to week 8 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Calypso Coral. Calypso Coral is a colour from the Subtles colour collection and is a peachy type of colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Petal Pink and Smokey Slate.

For my card I have chosen to use the beautiful Forever Blossoms Bundle and coloured the leaves with the light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend and the flowers with both the light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends. The small piece of DSP at the top of the card is actually from the Whale of a Time DSP pack. One side of each of the papers is patterned and the other side features sealife. This is one of the patterned sides. I have dry embossed the bottom Petal Pnk cardstock with the absolutely beautiful Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing folder.  The ribbon is Whisper White Faux Linen from the Flowers For Every Season combo pack. Finally I have added a bi of bling with some Champagne Rhinestones.

Art With Heart Heart of Christmas July 2020

Welcome to the 2020 Art With Heart Heart of Christmas where once a month team members will be participating in a blog hop featuring Christmas. Last year I was unable to participate due to travel commitments so by the time December came I had hardly made any Christmas cards so this year I intend to be better prepared and what better way than to be part of this.

For the first month I have chosen to feature a brand new bundle from the upcoming August to December mini catalogue which features predominantly lots of beautiful Christmas goodies. For my card I have chosen the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle which features some lovely dies to decorate your envelopes with as well as a lovely bauble stamp and die set.

I have stamped the bauble image in Mossy Meadow firstly and then again with Real Red, which I have die cut and then mixed and matched the two. The lovely DSP is also a new one that is coming in the new mini, called Heartwarming Hugs. I have also decorated the envelope with the same DSP and a couple of the dies from the same bundle. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo but I have also added a peeper of Red foil along the sides as well as used it across the top using one of the dies from the Ornate Border set. Finally a couple of the also new Wonderful Gems for a bit of bling!

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop : Week 7 Cajun Craze

Welcome back to week 7 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Cajun Craze. Cajun Craze is a colour from the Regals colour collection and is a Terracotta type of colour. It's not a colour that I would usually gravitate towards but I have enjoyed being challenged to use it for this week's showcase.

For my first card I have chosen to feature some new products that are soon to be released in the upcoming August to December mini catalogue which features many new Christmas themed stamps, papers and embellishments. The catalogue also features some new Autumnal themed products and that is what I have chosen for my first card.

I have used the Love of Leaves stamp set which is bundled with some very beautiful Stitched Leaves dies. Can you see the stitched looking veins on the leaves. The die set also contains the stitched line die on the right hand side of my card. I have also used a piece of DSP from the upcoming mini called Plaid Tidings which contains all plaid or checked patterns. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and I have stamped it a piece of white cardstock and cut it with the Stitched rectangle dies which continues on the stitch theme. For a bit of interest I have added one of the In Good Taste wooden elements and a bit of Braided linen trim.

For my second card this week I have chosen to a stamp set that has carried over from the previous years annual catalogue, Rooted In Nature and the matching  Natures Roots Framelits dies.

In this card I have dry embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and then stamped and die cut some of the leaves from the stamp set in Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Garden Green. To finish the card off I have added some Linen thread and a couple of Champagne Rhinestones.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 6 : Bumblebee

Welcome back to week 6 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Bumblebee. Bumblebee is a colour from the new In Colours for 2020-22 Colour Collection and it is a lovely yellow colour.

For my Colour Creations Showcase I have chosen to feature some of the new coordinating Designer Series Paper and a new stamp set of sentiments.

There is actually not much stamping on this card, just the sentiment! I have chosen 2 coordinating Designer Series Papers from the Flowers For Every Season Pack and teamed them with some Very Vanilla, Bumblebee and Just Jade cardstock. Just Jade is another of the In Colours that were released recently. Around the centre of the card I have wrapped some Open Weave Vanilla ribbon, from the Forever Greenery trim pack and topped it with some beautiful Bumblebee Gingham ribbon. The flowers I have popped on are actually from the Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Cards. In the centre of the flowers I have adhered some of the new In Colour enamel dots just to accentuate the flowers a bit. Finally a cute little Bumblebee Gingham bow to finish it off! It's just a nice and quick card to put together with some lovely coordinating products.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 5 : Blushing Bride

Welcome back to week 5 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Blushing Bride. Blushing bride is a colour from the Subtles Colour Collection.

For my Colour Creations Showcase I have chosen to feature a new bundle released in the new Annual Catalogue called All Things Fabulous.

I started by stamping the Birch background stamp onto Sahara Sand cardstock. The flowers have been stamped using the Two (well three) step process onto Whisper white cardstock, starting with Blushing Bride, followed by Flirty Flamingo and finally Poppy Parade. The leaves have been stamped in Pear Pizazz. They have then all been die cut with the matching dies from the bundle. The Whisper white cardstock behind the flowers has been dry embossed with one of the new smaller embossing folders from the Meadow Moments duo. The sentiment is also from the All things Fabulous stamp set. I'm not sure if you can see it but I have added a bit of bling to the flower centres by adhering some of the opaque Elegant Faceted Gems. To help to ensure the placement of the individual stamps when stamping the flowers I relied on the Stamparatus.
