Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Mango Melody

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour isManggo Melody which is from the Brights colour group. This week I have 2 cards to share with you.

For my first card I have taken my inspiration from one of the pieces of DSP from the Plaid tidings paper pack which is from the current mini catalogue, as are the Stitched Leaves dies which I have used. I just love the detail that these dies have, one is for cutting the shape and a matching one for the stitched embossing. Then I have added some bling using a few of the Artistry Blooms sequins. The sentiment is stamped on one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

For my second card I have chosen to CASE the card on page 43 of the Annual Catalogue. The DSP I have used is from the Peony Garden pack and I have embossed it using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder but it's a bit hard to see in the photo. As suggested on page 43, even though the Many Medallions die cuts a larger piece, you don't have to use it all and can trim parts of it. Sometimes we overlook just how much information the Annual catalogue gives us. There are some great tips and hints on the pages.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Enjoy your week

  1. Theresa you've used one of my fave bundle in your first card and you've picked up the colours in the tartan beautifully in your card. Thank you for inspiring us with both of your creations tonight xx

  3. Lovely cards, Theresa, but I really like the way you have cut down the Many Medallions die and added the wood leaf for a more masculine effect!

  4. I love both of your cards, T. You can't fail with those gorgeous stitched leaves. I love that you incorporated black with the Plaid Tidings paper. The second card is very elegant and understated. Embossing that DSP gives a fabulous look, and the pop of colour provided by the die cut is gorgeous.

  7. Fabulous cards Theresa. I am a real fan of Plaid Tidings so I think card one is my favourite, but it is a close call. The leaf diecuts work perfectly with the plaid dsp too.
