Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase: Daffodil Delight

Welcome back to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase and this week we are featuring Daffodil Delight. Daffodil Delight is one of the colours from the Brights collection and is a lovely sunny yellow colour. This week I have teamed it with Whisper White and Old Olive in all of my creations.

For my first card I have used the Timeless Tulips stamp set with the matching punch. For the tulips I have first inked the stamp with Poppy Parade and then sponged with Daffodil Delight, blending the two in the centre. The Whisper White cardstock has been embossed with one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders. The cute little sentiment is from Here's a Card and the frame from the Ornate frames dies.

For my second card I have chosen to use Queen Anne's Lace. The Old Olive cardstock has been embossed using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. The piece of Whisper White cardstock behind the Daffodil Delight DSP has been stamped with one of the stamps from the Borders Abound set. Once again I have used one of the Ornate Frames dies for the sentiment.

For my third card I have chosen to use the Fancy Phrases stamp set and coloured the flowers with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. The 2 panels have been die cut using the Celebration Labels dies. As there is no Old Olive ribbon I have coloured the Whisper White crinkled seam binding with a Stampin' Blend.

I hope you like all of my creations but now I'm off to do some more creating with some equally bright and happy fabric, to finish a quilt I am making for one of my nieces.

  2. Gosh, you've been super-creative this week, T! The combination of colours on the tulips, on your first card, is beautiful. I have used that stamp set maybe once ... you've inspired me to look at it in a different way. On your second card, I love the stamped panel behind the main piece, and your bow is exquisite! The third card looks great with that beautiful floral spray front and centre, and one of my favourite embossing folders used for the background. Beautiful cards, my friend.

  3. Wow Theresa - that is burst of spring! All three cards are beautiful but I have a soft spot for the Queen Annes' Lace card as my Mum had that in her wedding bouquet. Your vibrant quilt is wonderful too. Thank you for spreading some daffodil delight sunshine and inspiring us all with your card.

  7. Delightful cards Theresa, lots of lovely textures. I almost chose to use the Tulips too, but in the end decided on a set that hadn't seen ink yet! I have used the Tulip stamp set a lot!
P.S. I have been meaning to tell you how much I love your blog header - such a beautiful image!
