Welcome to Week 5 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas. This year we will be hopping weekly, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.
Following on from last week I have continued to play with more of the new products from the September to December mini which are available for all to purchase in 2 days time. This week I have had fun creating with the Merriest Trees bundle.
The beautiful background paper is one from the Merry Bold and Bright Designer Series paper pack and features Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce. This has been mounted onto Granny Apple Green card and then onto white.
A piece of White card has then been embossed using the Christmas Tidings Embossing folder. It is a bit hard to see in the photo above but it features all sorts of Festive words. This was then die cut using the largest of the Scalloped Contours dies.
Then the stamping starts. I have then stamped the largest tree from Merriest Trees in Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce. The segments of the trees have then been die cut with the corresponding dies from Merriest Trees dies and layered in colour order with the lightest on the top to the darkest on the bottom.
The tree has then been decorated using the die from the Merriest Trees that looks like all the strings of baubles. This has been done using More Dazzle Specialty paper in Champagne. The star has also been cut in the same manner.
The sentiment is from Brightest Glow and has been embossed in White onto Granny Apple Green card and then die cut using one of the dies from Labels Aglow.
Finally a few Tinsel Gems in Lemon Lime Twist have been added.
As there was a small strip of the paper left rather than waste it, it has been added to the inside of the card along with the greeting from Merriest Trees stamped in Granny Apple Green.

Merriest Trees is one of my favourite new bundles, and I just love what you've created with it, T. I really like the tiny trees in the background, and one BIG tree as the focus of your card. All the greens look great, as do your chosen embellishments. Love this!
ReplyDeleteI love your multi coloured Christmas tree Theresa, great combination of colours
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful big tree in it's multicoloured layers. The background DSP is wonderful with your diecut tree in front and love the bow!
ReplyDeleteThe graduated greens on your tree looks fabulous, Theresa. Love the layered look with the separate segments, too.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful Christmas tree card Theresa. I love your multi-layered tree in layered colours. The die cut baubles are so cute. The tiny trees DSP background is delightful under the Scalloped Contour label. Gorgeous. xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, Theresa, your tree is so effective in the graduating shades of green. It works so well with the background DSP.
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas tree card Teresa and all the layered shades of green. You’ve worked it well with the background DSP and the addition of twinkling baubles and star on top.
ReplyDeleteTheresa your monochromatic tree is fabulous. I also like all the texture and detail you have added to your wonderful card.
