Stampin' Up! Pacific Point

Welcome to week 33 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pacific Point which is quite a bold bright blue colour and one that I really don't use very much.

Looking for inspiration I resorted to Pinterest where I found the colour combination that I have used for this card. Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

To start this card I used strips of cardstock of each of the colours and die cut them using the jagged die from the Basic Borders dies and then glued each on top of the other in colour order and repeated this 3 times. I then embossed this piece using one of the new folders from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folders in the new mini catalogue. You can see some of the detail of the embossing closer in the photo below. I then mounted this on Pacific Point cardstock and finally on Night of Navy. I have then added some of the new Denim ribbon along with some Basic White Bakers Twine.

The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays and is actually a bleated birthday sentiment but instead of inking up the whole stamp I used a Pacific Point marker and only coloured the words I wanted to stamp. I have then die cut the sentiment using one of the Hippo and Friends dies.

I have die cut the star spray and the swirl using a couple of dies from the Stitched Stars dies and used the Bermuda Bay part of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Finally I have coloured a few of the Classic Matte Dots using a Bermuda Bay Stampin Blend.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the Art With Heart Team Leader Claire Daly. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Old Olive

Welcome to week 32 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Old Olive which as the name suggests is an olive green colour.

For my card this week I have gone back to one of my favourite bundles from the July to December mini catalogue that has actually carried over, Nature's Harvest, and the sentiment is from one of the current Salebration stamp sets that you can earn if you spend $180.

I started by stamping the image in Black Memento and then using Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink Stampin Blends. I have then die cut the image using the corresponding die. I then mounted this on a panel of Basic White that I had stamped off twice using Petal Pink and smudgy background stamp from the same set. I then die cut it using one of the frames from the Scalloped Contours dies and then embossed it using the Timeworn Type folder, another item that has carried over from the previous mini.

I have then mounted this panel on another panel of Beauty of the Earth DSP that has been die cut with another of the Scalloped Contours dies. This has then been mounted of Basic White cardstock. I have then added a bow using White and Crumb Cake Bakers Twine from the Essentials Pack.

The sentiment as I mentioned is from the Special Moments stamp set, from the Salebration catalogue which you can earn for free when you spend $180. I have stamped it in old Olive and then dies cut is with one of the Tasteful Labels dies.

Finally I have added a few Brushed Metallic Dots , another item that has carried over.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Caroline Manwaring. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Night of Navy

Happy New Year and welcome to week 31 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. When I started participating in the weekly blog hop, I had every intention to participate every week but unfortunately due to lack of internet last week I wasn't able to share my Mossy Meadow creation.

This week's feature colour is Night Of Navy which is the darkest of the Stampin'Up! blue colours, and is actually categorized as one of the Neutrals colours.

For my card this week I have chosen to make a male card and chosen the colours Night of Navy, Poppy Parade, Pool Party and White.

I started this card by using a piece of the Neutrals Night of Navy DSP which has a check pattern on it. To break up some of the starkness of the Basic White cardstock I stamped using the splotches from the Colour and Contour stamp set. To decrease the boldness I stamped off. I then embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using one of the new Embossing folders from the new January to June 2022 mini catalogue, Gingham. I think it will be a good addition for more male cards in the future.

I then die cut multiple stars using the Stitched Stars dies and using Night of Navy, Poppy Parade and Pool Party and placed them randomly and interlocking. The sentiment is from the Art Gallery bundle and has been embossed in Whisper White and die cut using a corresponding die. I've then added a couple of Red Rhinestone jewels.

As the inside of the card is Night Of Navy and makes it hard for any writing to be seen, I have die cat a piece of Basic White and added a couple of extra stars that I had already cut.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern. I look forward to seeing what lovely creation she has share with us tonight.
