Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase : Crushed Curry

Well here we are again for another week of Colour Creations Showcase. This is week 13 and we are featuring Crushed Curry. Crushed Curry is a colour from the Regals collection. In my opinion the colour is like the colour of mustard. This week I have used 2 very different colour combinations.

For my first card I have used  Crushed Curry along with Old Olive and Sahara Sand, and I must say I really love this combination. I have chosen to use the Lovely you bundle which features some foliage elements along with some really lovely sentiments which can then be punched out with the coordinating Lovely Labels Pick a Punch punches. I have stamped the elements in the round and then overlayed a Stitched Circle upon which I have placed a Square Vellum Doily which I have coloured with Stampin Blends. I have also coloured the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding and a couple of Basic jewels, all with the Old Olive Stampin Blend.

For my second card I have used a completely different colour combination that I took from one of the sheets from the Playing With Patterns DSP pack. Crushed Curry, Night of Navy and Purple Posy.

For this card I have broken out the So Much Happy bundle for it's first use and I have to say I can see it being used a lot!  All of the elements, being the balloons, balloon ties, the balloon ribbons and the flag bunting are all dies from the same set. Makes it easy to make a quick and effective card!

Personally I like my first card best but would love to know your thoughts too?

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase: Week 12

Welcome back to week 12 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Crumb Cake. Crumb Cake is a colour from the Neutrals collection and is a really lovely beige type of colour that generally blends with a lot of softer colours. This week I have chosen to team it with two of the In Colours, one from last year, Seaside Spray, and one from this year, Misty Moonlight.

I have chosen to use the Peaceful Moments bundle which I must confess this is the first time I have used the dies and I have to say it won't be the last. I have embossed the piece of Crumb Cake card with the Ornate Floral Embossing folder to tie in with the die cut flowers. The added leaves are also from the same die set and have been cut using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. The ribbon has carried over from last year's annual catalogue. And for a bit of bling I've added a couple of the Elegant Faceted Gems to the flower centres.

Art With Heart Heart of Christmas August 2020

Welcome to the 2020 Art With Heart Heart of Christmas where once a month team members will be participating in a blog hop featuring Christmas. This is our second month and we hope you enjoyed last months as much as we enjoyed creating them.

This month I have had so much fun creating with the Trimming the Town Suite of products from the new Occasions catalogue, Handmade For You. The Coming Home bundle which is part of this suite is particularly special because it is part of the Stampin'Up! Making a Difference, where a portion of sales is donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care and infertility.

As you will see from my creations there was very little stamping involved but lots of die cutting. Did you know that the dies from the Coming Home bundle match perfectly with the Trimming the Town DSP, so no fussy cutting needed! Yay!

For this card I have used the soft Pool Party background of the DSP to set the tone of the card. Just some die cutting, a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas and some gorgeous shimmery ribbon, a bit of bling and we are done!

My second card is quite similar . Just a different orientation and a sentiment from another new stamp set called, Poinsettia Petals.

For my third card I've used a different DSP but still one from the Trimming the Town paper. It's a bit difficult to tell from this photo but the white cardstock I have used is the Shimmery White cardstock. It makes me think a bit of sparkling snow.

For my final card I've use a different die to resemble rolling hills. Even the trees from the DSP can be die cut! The sentiment is once again from the Itty Bitty Christmas set.

So you can see that it's very easy to create some really cute cards in not very much time with just the right products! Stampin' Up! make it so easy. I have had had so much fun and it only took a couple of hours and there's 4 more cards created for Christmas.

As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Enjoy your week

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase Week 11 : Coastal Cabana

Welcome back to week 11 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Coastal Cabana. Coastal cabana is a colour from the Brights collection and is a really lovely green type of colour. This week I have teamed it with Night of Navy and Whisper White and I really love that combination.

For my first card I have stamped a couple of the triangles from the Right Triangle stamp set in both Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy, and then I have die cut them along with some DSP from the Playing with Patterns paper stack. I have then made them into a pinwheel which has been mounted on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that has been embossed with one of the Wrapped in Texture folders. The sentiment is from the Happiest of Birthdays set.

For my second card I have still used the same colour combination. Did I tell you how much I love these colours together? Once again I have used the Stitched Triangle dies and also the DSP from the Playing with Patterns stack again. The birthday greeting comes from the Well Said bundle.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase Week 10: Cinnamon Cider

Welcome back to week 10 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. Wow that's 10 weeks done and dusted already! This week our feature colour is Cinnamon Cider. Cinnamon Cider is a colour from the 2020-21 In Colour collection and is a lovely light brown type of colour. This week I have teamed it with Pear Pizzazz and another 20-21 In Colour Bumblebee.

For this card I have used a couple of new products. The lovely vases are from the absolutely beautiful Boho Indigo Product Medley. The leaves in the centre vase are also from the same medley. The flowers in the other vases are from another new stamp set called Lovely You. I have die cut the 2 outer vases from Copper foil but it is very hard to capture the foil in a photograph. The DSP is from the Flowers From Every Season DSP pack. The sentiment also comes from the Lovely You set and has been punched using the matching Banners Pick a Punch.
