Welcome to a Week 9 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the remaining Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order, with this week's feature colour being Basic Gray. Basic Gray is as the name suggests a strong gray colour and a member of the Neutrals Group of colours.
This week the bundle chosen to feature is actually one that I purchased sometime ago but until this week was yet to be inked up. It is the Online Exclusive, Fluffiest Friends, and is super cute. I have always been a fan of oink and gray together so the colours for this week are Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink and Basic White, with a few splashes of Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie.
Rather than stamping a sentiment this week I have chosen to use the Wanted To Say dies, cutting the letters in Basic White and mounting on an outline using Basic Gray card. I did try reversing this order but it didn't seem to "pop" as much as this option.
Once again this week I have chosen to use a piece of the 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper as the base, but this time the feature colour is Basic Gray. This has then been mounted onto a piece of Basic Gray card and then onto a thick White card.
Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Sharon Davern. I look forward to seeing her lovely creation this week.
If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants.
As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message.
As always enjoy your week.

Whilst you may not be a fan of Basic Gray, it looks fantastic with Pretty in Pink! I love this card! The flowers stamped on the Deckled Circle are a great touch, to complement the flower being held by the cat (and carrying the theme over to the inside of the card). Good choice to layer the Basic Gray sentiment onto Basic White - it stands out beautifully against the patterned background. Lovely job with this week's colour, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely a super cute card Theresa. Love the greeting from the Wanted to Say dies.
ReplyDeleteYes, such as cute card. Pinks and grays are always a winning combination and I love the pops of pink with the tiny flowers. I don't think I've used that sentiment from the dies, must remedy that soon.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Theresa! Your fluffy cat looks so happy sitting in the field of flowers - your gorgeous card makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteGreat image to pair with get well soon sentiment. I am sure it would be well received when gifted.
