Stampin' Up! Shaded Spruce

Welcome to week 42 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Shaded Spruce, which is a member of the Regals colour group.

I find Shaded Spruce a very bold green colour that usually only comes out around Christmas time however it does also make me think of leaves and foliage and that is the path I have taken for my card this week.

I decided that it had been sometime since I had inked up the Forever Fern bundle and thought this would be a good option for Shaded Spruce.

I started by stamping several of the foliage pieces in Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce and then die cutting them with the corresponding dies. I have then mounted them on a piece of Basic White cardstock that I have embossed using one of the Greenery embossing folders. This has then all been mounted on a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  The sentiment is from Eden's Garden and has been stamped in Shaded Spruce and die cut using one of the Layering circles dies and then mounted on a scalloped piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock. Finally I have added some Gold Elegant trim and a scattering of Genial Gems.

Next in tonight's blog hop is  our lovely host Catherine Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Sahara Sand

Welcome to week 41 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Sahara Sand, which is a member of the Neutrals colour group.

This week I have chosen to create a baby girl card just so as I have one in my stash. I thought that Sahara Sand would blend nicely with Basic White and Blushing Bride. I also thought it was time to ink up the All for Baby bundle once again.

I have used Sahara Sand cardstock as the base for my card and then added a piece of Subtles DSP for the background. I have then die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the largest of the Scalloped Contour dies. I have then stamped the clothesline using Early Espresso and then embossed the piece using one of the very cute Dotty Hearts embossing folders.

I have die cut the baby jumpsuits from a couple of pieces of the Abstract Beauty DSPs and the pegs to hold them on the clothesline have been die cut using Gold foil. I have stamped the teddy in Sahara Sand and for the bow I have used 2 pieces of Bakers Twine in White but for one of them I have used a Blending Brush and the Blushing Bride stamp pad to create a pale pink twine. The close up below shows the gorgeous detail of the Dotty Hearts embossing folder and the coloured Twine.

The sentiment is from Celebrating You, one of the very versatile sentiment stamp sets in the current mini catalogue, and I have stamped it on Sahara Sand cardstock and embossed in white. Finally a couple of cute Blushing Bride hearts have been added.

Next in tonight's blog hop is  our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry

Welcome to week 40 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Rich Razzleberry, which is another member of the Regals colour group. I have chosen to pair it with Basic White and Old Olive .

This week I have taken my inspiration from the sample on page 37 of the current Mini Catalogue, as this was actually one of the cards that persuaded me to purchase the stamp set, Flowing Flowers.

I started by inking up the largest stamp with a Sponge Dauber with Old Olive and and inked up the leaf area of the stamp. Using my Stamparatus I stamped the image, in some cases several times to get the intensity as daubing doesn't create the same intensity as applying the stamp directly to the ink pad. I then used the same process but using Rich Razzleberry for the flower part of the stamp. For the flower I actually inked the dauber several times for the flower centre to add some depth. I repeated this process for each of the corners of the Basic White cardstock.

I then dry embossed the piece using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I then die cut a few sprigs from the Flowers of Home die set in both the Mother Of Pearl Specialty paper and also from Vellum. I have also added some Wink of Stella to the flower centres which you can see in the photo below.

For the sentiment I have used the Hippo and Friends dies, firstly in Old Olive and then the sentiment panel in Basic White. The sentiment has been stamped using Rich Razzleberry. I have then added a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones and finally this has all been mounted on a piece of the New Horizons DSP and then on Thick White cardstock.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our host Catherine Proctor. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Real Red

Welcome to week 39 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Real Red, which is another member of the Regals colour group. Real Red is a colour that I more often than not use for Christmas so it was quite a challenge for me to use it for a "non-christmas"card.

This week I have decided to have some more fun using the Blending Brushes and the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative masks, and I must say after using one of them for Real Red, that brush is now ONLY for Real Red!

For my first card I started by Brushing one of the flower mask using Flirty Flamingo. I then used the corresponding mask with Real Red. Then using lots of Post It Notes I then brushed some of the leaves using Pear Pizzazz. I have then stamped the Mother's Day greeting from Timeless Tulips in Flirty Flamingo. I don't usually like to stamp directly onto the main panel just in case something goes wrong but in this case it seemed the best option. Finally I have used some of the Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon for a bow and added a couple of Brushed Butterflies as well as some Red Rhinestones to the flower centres.

For my second card I have CASED one of Su Mohr's cards using the Butterfly and one of the flower masks.

To achieve this effect I have placed one mask on top of the other and then once again used the Blending Brushes. This time I have started at the outside of the butterfly wings using Real Red. Then I have progressed inwards using Pumpkin Pie and then finally used Mango melody in the centre. I really love how the colours blended together. The sentiment is from Celebrating You and has been embossed in white on black cardstock and then die cut using one of the Ornate Frames dies. This has then all been mounted on a piece of DSP from the All Together paper and finally on some thick Basic White cardstock. I have also added a few Iridescent Rhinestones for some bling.

Next in tonight's blog hop the  lovely Tina Gillespie. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.

Stampin' Up! Pumpkin Pie

Welcome to week 38 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop for 2022. This week's feature colour is Pumpkin Pie, which is a member of the Regals colour group and probably one of my least used colours.

This week I have decided to finally open up a couple of the goodies from the Heart and Home Suite of products. In particular the Honeybee Home bundle and the Hive 3D embossing folder. I have teamed Pumpkin Pie with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.

For my starting point I stamped a few of the floral spray images and then colour them using Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I have also stamped one of the bee images and coloured that using the Daffodil Delight blends. I have then die cut these images as well as a couple of the grassy leaf images from Old Olive cardstock. I have then mounted them on a piece of Basic White cardstock that I have firstly cut using one of the Layering Circle dies. I have then opened the Hive 3D embossing fold and using a Blending Brush applied Pumpkin Pie colour to the folder before embossing the circle. I chose to use Blending Brushes as I could then determine how much colour I wanted to add rather than directly applying the ink pad to the folder as it was far to bold.

Apologies for the blurred flowers but I was trying to focus on the embossing instead. I have then mounted this arrangement on a piece of the Heart and Home DSP and then mounted this on a piece of reverse side of the Flowering Fields DSP. The sentiment is also from the Honeybee Home stamp set and has been punched using the Label Me Fancy punch. Finally I have added a bow using the Gold Fine Art ribbon and added a couple of Gilded Gems and a cute little Bumblebee Trinket.

Next in tonight's blog hop the  lovely Caroline Manwaring. I look forward to seeing what beautiful creation she has to share with us tonight.
