Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop : Week 7 Cajun Craze

Welcome back to week 7 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Cajun Craze. Cajun Craze is a colour from the Regals colour collection and is a Terracotta type of colour. It's not a colour that I would usually gravitate towards but I have enjoyed being challenged to use it for this week's showcase.

For my first card I have chosen to feature some new products that are soon to be released in the upcoming August to December mini catalogue which features many new Christmas themed stamps, papers and embellishments. The catalogue also features some new Autumnal themed products and that is what I have chosen for my first card.

I have used the Love of Leaves stamp set which is bundled with some very beautiful Stitched Leaves dies. Can you see the stitched looking veins on the leaves. The die set also contains the stitched line die on the right hand side of my card. I have also used a piece of DSP from the upcoming mini called Plaid Tidings which contains all plaid or checked patterns. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and I have stamped it a piece of white cardstock and cut it with the Stitched rectangle dies which continues on the stitch theme. For a bit of interest I have added one of the In Good Taste wooden elements and a bit of Braided linen trim.

For my second card this week I have chosen to a stamp set that has carried over from the previous years annual catalogue, Rooted In Nature and the matching  Natures Roots Framelits dies.

In this card I have dry embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and then stamped and die cut some of the leaves from the stamp set in Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Garden Green. To finish the card off I have added some Linen thread and a couple of Champagne Rhinestones.

  2. I love how different both these cards are from each other, and yet both perfectly showcase the products and of course Cajun Craze.

  3. Great cards Theresa. I love both your cards. Your first card showcases the new products so well. I hadn't noticed the stitched elements in this bundle - they are so good. Your second card using the Rooted in Nature bundle is great with the embossed background and the stamped wooden cross-section as the label is inspired. X

  5. Great cards, Theresa. Those new leaves are fantastic, especially the stitched lines. I had them added to my first order, then removed them, sigh. Damn, I should have got them!

  6. Great leafy cards Theresa, the one using plaid is quite a different style of stamp, interesting. I like the stitched lines down the right of the card too.
