Stampin' Up! Shy Shamrock

Welcome to a Week 4 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  the vibrant Shy Shamrock. A lovely green that sits between Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel.

The Attention Shoppers bundle is another new one in the current catalogue and the feature for this week's card. This bundle was demonstrated at the Onstage event in March and it was that demonstration that convinced me to add the bundle to my collection. It's a fun bundle that can be used for lots of different occasions.

This week I have used it to make a card for my son and his girlfriend who are soon to move into their first home together. It conjures up ideas of gifts of new house plants and bottle of wine for their house warming.

A piece of white card that has been embossed using the Dashing Designs embossing folder has been mounted onto a piece of In Colour Designer Series Paper.

The plants and bottle have been stamped in Black Memento Ink and then coloured using Shy Shamrock, Copper Clay and Peach Pie Stampin' Blends and die cut using dies from the Attention Shoppers dies.

The shopping trolley has been die cut using Silver Foil and the dies from the Attention Shoppers dies. To make it easier to adhere to the card, adhesive sheet was attached to the foil before die cutting.

The sentiment is from Translucent Florals and has been white embossed onto Shy Shamrock card. A Stylish Shapes was used to die cut the sentiment.

The words "New Home"have been die cut using Shy Shamrock card and the Mini Alphabet Dies. The wine bottles have been die cut using In Colour DSP and the die from the Attention Shoppers dies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented  Ros Davidson. Ros love to use the Colour Coach for her creations so it is always great to see what she comes up with.

Stampin' Up! Pretty In Pink

Welcome to a Week 3 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  the lovely Pretty In Pink. A lovely Pink colour that sits between Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel.

The Country Flowers bundle is a gorgeous new bundle from the Annual Catalogue and the one I have chosen for this week's card. Pretty In Pink has been teamed with Smokey Slate and Old Olive.

I have used Stampin Blends to colour both the floral spray and the bucket that the flowers are arranged in. These have been popped up on Dimensionals onto a piece of White and then Pretty In Pink card that have been die cut using the Spotlight On Nature dies.

The cascading flowers have been die cut using dies from the Country Flowers dies and In Colour Designer Series Paper and the same in Regals. In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added to the flower centres. The gems have a gorgeous glimmer to them.

The White background card has been embossed using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and has a narrow edge of Pretty In Pink Bordered ribbon on both top and bottom.

A few Pretty In Pink Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots have also been added to the White card. These dots are gorgeous and look like they have a crackled appearance.

All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment, from Simply Said has been White embossed on Pretty In Pink card.

In an endeavour to not end up with a lot of retired Designer Series Paper at the end of the catalogue, I have added more to the inside of the card. It has been die cut using one of the Radiating Stitches dies.

To cover a bit of a booboo using too much glue, I have added some more die cut flowers and leaves to the top corner.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Petunia Pop

Welcome to a Week 2 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  the lovely Petunia Pop which is a lovely Violet colour and one of my favourite of the new In Colours.

This week, for me, it's all about the gorgeous new Designer Series Paper, Thoughtful Journey, which features, Petunia Pop along with a host of other gorgeous colours such as Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and lots of others, but for me Petunia Pop stood out in many of the sheets. The paper is a 6" by 6" and one side is gorgeous serene vistas and the other abstract patterns.

In each of my cards I have teamed Petunia Pop with Mossy Meadow and Basic White. Along with featuring the paper I am also featuring another part of the Thoughtful Journey Suite of products, the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies.

For my first card I have chosen the "Triple Layer technique", one I have wanted to try for sometime and I thought the paper was perfect for it. The paper has been die cut using Deckled Rectangle dies and mounted on to Petunia Pop Card.

The foliage has been either stamped and coloured in Mossy Meadow, or the stamp set coloured with markers and then stamped. Both have been die cut with the corresponding dies.

The sentiment is also from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and has been stamped in Petunia Pop and die cut once again using a Deckled Rectangle die. Finally a few coloured In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added.

For my second card I have featured different piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP but this time die cut using one of the Radiating Stitiches dies. The base of the card has been embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder and the sprigs on the left have been die cut using one of the Painted Lavender dies. Once again the sentiment is from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set but this time die cut using one of the Something Fancy dies.

I've turned the orientation around for my final card and used a different piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP. For the stamp in the centre panel I have once again used the Marker to Stamp technique using Petunia Pop and Mossy Meadow. The sprigs have been die cut using White card one of the Thoughtful Wishes dies and then coloured using Stampin Blends. The ribbon is from the new Petal Pink and White Diagonal Trim Combo pack.

This time the sentiment is from the new Unbounded Love stamp set and has been die cut using a couple of the Unbounded Love dies. This time the embellishments used are Iridescent Pearls.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Ros Davidson . I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation as Ros loves to use the Colour Coach combinations.

Stampin' Up! Peach Pie

Welcome to a new round of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. Once again we are very fortunate to have the lovely Cathy Proctor as our host.  Last week the team finished off with Tahitian Tide and now we start all over again. This year we will be starting our journey once again by featuring the new In Colours which will be current for the next 2 years.

Today's blog hop also coincides with the launch of the new Annual Catalogue for 2024-25. Be sure to check out all the new beautiful products.

This week, week 1, we start with one of the In colours, Peach Pie. Stampin'  Up seems to love colour names with the word Pie in them as we now have 3 "Pie" colours.

Peach Pie as the name would suggest, is a lovely Peachy Colour. For my card this week I have chosen to coordinate Peach Pie with Lemon Lime Twist, White and a hint of Pecan Pie (one of the 3 pies).

A piece of Peach Pie cardstock has been embossed using one of the new "Big" embossing folders, So Swirly. This embossing folder now allows you to emboss a much larger piece of cardstock compared to the previous ones.

A piece of the new Country Lace Designer Series Paper has been die cut using one of the larger Perennial Postage dies and the edges sponged using a new addition to the Basics range of colours, Basic Beige.

The floral spray, leaf cut outs, and twig wreath are all from an Online Exclusive bundle, Encircled in Nature. The floral spray has been stamped in Black memento and then coloured using Peach Pie and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin Blends. The leaf cut outs have been die cut using White cardstock and then sponged using Blending Brushes and Lemon Lime Twist ink. The twig wreath has been cut out using Pecan Pie cardstock.

The sentiment is from the stamp set Perennial Postage and has been stamped in Peach Pie ink onto white cardstock. This has then been die cut using one of the Deckled Circles dies.

Finally a double bow using Linen Thread has been added to the floral spray as well as a couple of Peach Pie In Colour Shimmer Gems and a couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Another coloured floral spray has been added to the inside of the card along with the sentiment from Hooray for Surprises, stamped in Peach Pie.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Tina Gillespie. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation. Speaking of which, don't you love our new "next blog button" ?

Stampin' Up! Shaded Spruce

This week, is week  45 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we continue our journey through the existing Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  Shaded Spruce, a member of the Regals family of colour.

Shaded Spruce isn’t a green that I tend to use very much and so when planning my card I had to search possible colour combinations. One that was suggested was Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam and Gold, which really appealed to me. Naturally I have also added Basic White to the mix. The bundle that has been chosen for this colour combination is the Notes Of Nature bundle from the current mini catalogue .

The paper used on the card base is from Natures Sweetness which I also from the same suite of products as the Notes Of Nature bundle. It features white and gold so the perfect choice. The paper has been embossed using the Timeworn Type embossing folder.
The gold paper circle that is underneath the foliage has been cut using the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and a Deckled Circle die.

Two types of foliage have been used. One is a stamped image from the Notes of Nature bundle, using Black Memento and then coloured in Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam using Stampin Blends. These images have then been die it using one of the dies from the Notes Of Nature die set. For the other foliage the long Notes of Nature die has been used with either Shaded Spruce or Soft Sea Foam card. As the image is very long it has been cut into 2 pieces. The remains as you will see have been used on the inside of the card.

The sentiment is also from the Notes of Nature stamp set and been embossed in gold although it is hard to see in the photo.

Finally a couple of Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots in gold have been added.

As you can see the inside has been decorated using some of the leftover bits and pieces of paper and die cuts.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our talented blog hop host Catherine Proctor . I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Real Red

This week, is week  44 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we continue our journey through the existing Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  Real Red, a member of the Regals family of colour and is a bright vivid red that to me invokes Love.

For my card this week I have had a play with another product from the current Mini  catalogue, the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing folder along with a new Online Exclusive stamp set, Sweetly Scripted. I have teamed Real Red with the simple Black and White.

For the background a piece of the Rock and Roll Designer Series Paper has been embossed using only the embossing folder of the Hybrid bundle. Those little hearts are just too cute.

Two methods have been used to create the hearts that have been adhered to the embossed piece of paper. The simplest way, used to create the solid Real Red heart, in the middle on the right side, is to simply emboss and cut a piece of Real Red card. The die consists of one large die with nine hearts and lots of smaller hearts and adornments. When using the large nine heart die with the embossing folder , it "locks"into place. Thus allowing you to emboss and cut at the same time.

For the other five hearts Real Red ink is applied to the embossing folder using a brayer. The large multiple hearts die is then "locked" into place on the embossing folder and put through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine in one pass. This method creates die cut white hearts with accents in Real Red.

This close up shows all the embossing in more detail.

The sentiment, from the new online exclusive Sweetly Scripted has been stamped in Black Memento on white card. Two strips of Real Red card that have been die cut using the longest of the Darling Details dies have been adhered to the edges of the sentiment panel.

Finally a bow in Black and White Gingham and a few Black Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems have been added.

Rather than leaving the inside of the card plain white, some of the left over embossed and coloured hearts have been added to the bottom edge.

 Apologies for the blurriness.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented  Sharon Davern. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Pumpkin Pie

This week, is week  43 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we continue our journey through the existing Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  Pumpkin Pie, a member of the Brights family of colour and is similar to the colour of a Pumpkin as the name suggests.

For this week's card I have gone back and revisited the gorgeous Cheerful Daisies bundle as well as a new Online Exclusive bundle, Happy Little Things, and teamed Pumpkin Pie simply with Black and White and used lots of embossing, which happens to be one of my favourite techniques. I just love watching the embossing powder melt when heat is applied. So effective.

For the background I have selected a piece of the Stargazing Designer Series Paper and stamped one of the Cheerful Daisies stamps multiple times using Versamark. The daisies have then been embossed in White. Given the paper has multiple shades this was thought to be enough for the background.

A large bow using Black and White Gingham has been placed under the sentiment panel.

Both of the sentiments are from the new online exclusive bundle, Happy Little Things. The stamp set has largish words in both outline and solid that can be matched with smaller phrases. In this case the outline stamp has been embossed in Black. Strange but true, I don't own Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends so I have used Blender Pens and a Pumpkin Pie ink pad to lightly colour the infill of the sentiment.

On closer inspection it appears that I may have accidentally knocked off some of the embossing powder on each end of the word "Celebrate". Before stamping "Celebrate" another Cheerful Daisies stamp was stamped off several times  using Pumpkin Pie.

The smaller of the sentiments has been embossed in White on Black cardstock and then die cut using one of the Happy Little Things dies.

Finally a few Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins in Pumpkin Pie have been added for some bling.

For the inside of the card a couple of different Daisies also from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set have been stamped in Pumpkin Pie on White and die cut, along with a leftover strip of the Paper used on the front of the card.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented  Christine Blain. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.
