Stampin' Up! Pecan Pie

This week, is week 9 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we finish our journey through the New Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is  Pecan Pie, a tan brown colour. I suppose one could say the colour of a Pecan nut!

So this week I thought it only natural to feature the beautiful new bundle Earthen Elegance Suite of products, which includes the Earthen Textures bundle, the Earthen Elegance paper and the gorgeous Natural Wavy Trim. I really love this bundle and all of it's entities as the foliage can be mixed and matched in so many ways with the earthenware which can be decorated in numerous ways with all of the different dies. The colour combination I have gone with is Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon.

My starting point was to play around with the various pot and foliage stamps and dies and then come up with the combination that appealed to me the most. In this case I have stamped the largest pot in Pretty Peacock onto the same coloured cardstock. The centre band decoration has been die cut using one of the Earthen Textures dies and a piece of Earthen Textures paper.

The smaller pot has been stamped in Pecan Pie onto Pecan Pie cardstock and then die cut using the corresponding die. I have then embossed the pot using another of the dies from the same set. The top of the pot and handles has been die cut using Very Vanilla cardstock and then sponged with Pecan Pie ink using a sponge dauber.

The foliage on the larger pot has been stamped onto Very Vanilla uisng Pecan Pie ink and then die cut. For the smaller pot's foliage I have die cut the fronds using Lost Lagoon cardstock and then sponged with Pretty Peacock. All of this has then been mounted onto a piece of Earthen Textures paper that has been die cut using the largest of the Countryside Corners dies after being stamped using the marker to stamp technique. This has then been embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D folder.

This panel has then been mounted onto a piece of what I would call the reverse side of one of the Let's Go Fishing papers. Oh I have also added a band of the Wavy Trim under the pots. Finally this has been mounted onto Very Vanilla card and then Pecan Pie.

The sentiment is also from the Earthen Textures stamp set and has been stamped in Pecan Pie onto Very Vanilla and then die cut using one of the Stylish Shapes dies.

Finally I have added a few copper coloured Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Lemon Lolly

This week, is week 8 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we continue our journey through the New Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Lemon Lolly, a beautiful as the name suggests pale lemon colour. Like last week's new Core Colour, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly is also perfect for baby cards but also for floral cards, whichn is what I have chosen.

This week I have chosen to finally "break open" the Cheerful Daisies bundle and revisit a technique that I haven't done for ages in watercolouring. I have chosen to pair Lemon Lolly with Parakeet Party and a little bit of Calypso Coral.

My starting point was to stamp the largest and smallest of the Daisy outline images in Versamark onto Watercolour Paper and then emboss them in white. I have coloured all of the petals using WaterPainters and Lemon Lolly ink to start with and then added the flower centres and inner highlights using Calypso Coral. These flowers once dry were then die cut using the matching dies from the Cheerful Daisies dies.

These daisies have then been adhered to a piece of White cardstock that has been embossed using my favourite of the Basics 3D embossing folders and die cut using one of the Radiating Stitiches dies.

I have popped a couple of the sprigs behind the Daisies, that have been die cut using one of the Cheerful Daisies dies and Parakeet Party cardstock.

This has then all been mounted onto a piece of Bright and Beautiful paper that features Lemon Lolly, and has also been die cut using the largest of the Radiating Stitches dies. Finally this has been mounted onto thick White cardstock.

The sentiment is from another favourite, Go To Greetings, and has been stamped in Parakeet Party and die cut using another of the Cheerful Daisies dies.

Finally I have added a couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our lovely host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Bubble Bath

This week, is week 7 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we continue our journey through the New Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Bubble Bath, a beautiful soft pink. The perfect colour for baby girl cards as I have chosen to do.

For my card this week I have chosen to feature the gorgeous new baby bundle, Little Dreamers, which has several animal images and corresponding dies. I have teamed Bubble Bath up with White and a little bit of Smoky Slate.

The cute little elephant has been stamped in Black Memento and then coloured with Smoky Slate Stampin Blends and then die cut. I have then mounted this with dimensionals onto a piece of Bubble Bath Subtles paper which has cute little hearts.

This has then been overlayed with a piece of white cardstock that has been embossed using another of the Basics 3D embossing folders which features dots. The folders are only available as an online exclusive. I have used the largest of the circle Stylish Shapes to die cut a "peeper"circle.

Hopefully you can see the embossing a bit better in this photo.

I have then wrapped a band of the gorgeous Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon and also used this ribbon to tie a bow under the sentiment.

This has then been mounted onto a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and finally Thick White cardstock.

The sentiment is also from the Little Dreamers stamp set and has been die cut using one of the Something Fancy dies, and then mounted onto another die cut of Bubble Bath.

The cute little hearts, to match the paper, have been cut using the hearts from the Around the Bend dies.

Finally I have added some Iridescent Rhinestones for a bit of bling.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Woollard. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Azure Afternoon

This week, is week 6 in the Colour Creations blog hop and this week we commence our journey through the Stampin' Up! core colours, working in alphabetical order, starting with a new core colour, Azure Afternoon.

My intention this week was to feature the new Bright and Beautiful Memories and More cards and to show you how easy and quick it can be to create lovely cards, but instead being a bit time poor I have only ended up using one of the smaller cards. Oh well it allows me to show you others in weeks to come. The Bright and Beautiful Memories and More cards feature the lovely new core colours and are as the name suggests, Bright and Beautiful.

The multi coloured centre star panel is one of the smaller Memories and More cards and was the starting point for my card.

The background paper is also from the Bright and Beautiful suite of products, and is from the Bright and Beautiful DSP. It features Azure Afternoon in an ombre fashion. I have randomly stamped one of the smaller star stamps from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set, in Azure Afternoon, and then embossed the piece using one of the Basics 3D embossing folders, that are one of the Online Exclusives.

I have then added an overlay of the Celebrations Specialty papers, which are gold on one side and silver on the other. So very versatile.

The sentiment, which has been embossed in white,  is also from Beautiful Balloons and has been die cut using one of the dies from the coordinating bundle.

I have added some Silver Simply Elegant Trim to the sentiment tag. Finally I have added a few stars that have been die cut using one of the dies from the Beautiful Balloon bundle and using Holographic Specialty paper. The smaller star has been die cut using one of the Sentiment Silhouettes dies and Azure Afternoon cardstock.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Woollard. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.
