Stampin' Up! Wild Wheat

This week, is week 5 in the Colour Creations blog hop and we continue our journey  featuring all of the Stampin' Up! colours, starting with the latest In Colours. This week's feature colour  Wild Wheat, which if I have to be completely honest is my least favourite of the new In Colours and the most challenging.  Having said that Wild Wheat is quite challenging I'm actually fairly happy with the end result.

My son's best mate and his fiance have just bought their first home and my son has asked me to put together a bit of a hamper for them, so this week's Colour Creations card will accompany the gift.  I have chosen to team Wild Wheat with White and touches of Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie and Moody Mauve.

I apologise for the darkness of the photo but it is another dull day here in Melbourne. The background paper is the reverse side of one of the Let's Go Fishing papers featuring Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow.

The central white panel has been embossed using the Timber 3D embossing folder and lightly sponged on the edges with Wild Wheat ink.

The wreath from Cottage Wreaths,  has been stamped in Wild Wheat and then die cut using the corresponding die and the leaves stamped in Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie and also die cut with the matching dies.

The bow at the base of the wreath has actually been die cut from Moody Mauve cardstock but because of the dreary day it looks m ore like Blackberry Bliss. I have added a few In Colour Dots in Moody Mauve.

The word Home has been stamped onto Wild Wheat cardstock using the Alphabest stamp set,  and then embossed in white, and then punched using the matching Best Label punch. I have then strung the letters on Linen Thread and added a bow in the same at each end.

Next in tonight's blog hop is our talented host Cathy Proctor. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Moody Mauve

This week, is week 3 in the Colour Creations blog hop and we continue our journey  featuring all of the Stampin' Up! colours, starting with the latest In Colours. This week's feature colour  Moody Mauve, which is in my opinion a very dark mauve, who knows maybe that's is why it is called "Moody" Mauve.

I have teamed Moody Mauve with another of this year's new Core Colours, Bubble Bath and a hint of a returning colour, Lost Lagoon and Basic White. As yet, I havent ordered very much from the new Catalogue as we are going on a short family holiday soon and I thought I would wait until we get back, so I have decided to ink up Two Tone Flora for this week. I am also getting prepared early and have made a card for my Mother In Laws birthday next month. She keeps all of the cards I make for her in her crystal cabinet.

I have adhered a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy, featuring Moody Mauve, to the White base and then added another piece of White cardstock that has been die cut using the largest of the Two Tone Flora dies.

The flowers have been stamped in Bubble Bath for the base and Moody Mauve for the accents. They have then been die cut using the corresponding dies. Yay, no fussy cutting! The leaves are actually from Timeless Arrangements as are the berries. The leaves have been stamped in Lost Lagoon onto the same colour cardstock. For the berries I have used Moody Mauve in the same manner. It just goes to show how so many of the Stampin' Up! stamp sets can be interchanged and mixed together.

I have also added Wink Of Stella to the flowers for highlights. Hopefully you can see them a bit better in the photo below.

For the ribbon underneath the floral spray, I have actually separated the individual threads from a piece of Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon, an idea I got from one of the other "hoppers" last week. It's quite effective when you don't want a large width of ribbon.

The sentiment is from Charming Sentiments and has been stamped onto Moody Mauve card and then embossed in White.

Finally I have added a few In Colour Dots in Moody Mauve for another highlight.

Next in tonight's blog hop is the very creative Vicki Boucher. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Copper Clay

This week, is week 2 in the Colour Creations blog hop and we continue our journey  featuring all of the Stampin' Up! colours, starting with the latest In Colours. This week's feature colour  Copper Clay, which as the name suggests is a coppery tan colour.

I have chosen to combine this week's feature colour, Copper Clay with last week's feature colour, Boho Blue, along with Basic White. I have also finally inked up the Dainty Delight stamp set which initially was in the last Mini Catalogue and has now been carried over to the latest Annual Catalogue.

The central white panel has been stamped using the Countryside Corner stamp in Boho Blue and then die cut using the corresponding die. The inner panel has been embossed using one of my favourites, Timeworn Type. This has all been mounted onto a piece of Fresh As A Daisy DSP featuring Copper Clay.

The floral spray , from Dainty Delights has been stamped in Copper Clay and die cut with the corresponding die. The longest leaf sprig has been die cut using Boho Blue cardstock and the ends sponged in Misty Moonlight, as have the smaller sprigs.

The sentiment is from Very Best Occasions and has been stamped in Copper Clay and punched using the Banners Pick A Punch.

Finally a double bow using Linen Thread and a couple of Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots have been added.

For the inside of the card I have used another of the Countryside Corners dies and stamped the sentiment, also from Very Best Occasions, and a floral sprig, in Copper Clay.

Next in tonight's blog hop is  lovely Kathryn Ruddick. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.

Stampin' Up! Boho Blue

Welcome to a new round of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. Once again we are very fortuante to have the lovely Cathy Proctor as our host.  Last week the team finished off with Soft Suede and now we start all over again but this year we have a whole lot of new colours as Stampin' Up!  have done a colour refresh and retired some colours and brought in new ones as well as the 2023-25 In Colours, which is where we start our journey all over again.

This week, week 1, we start with one of the In colours, Boho Blue, which I absolutely love.

To me Boho Blue is the absolutely perfect blue to use to create baby cards and that is what I have done this week.

Along with Stampin' Up having a colour refresh it is also the start of the new 2023-2024 Annual catalogue, which also means the retirement of some of the stamp sets and bundles but yay it also means lots of new products for us to create with. Because the new Annual Catalogue only went live 2 days ago I haven't been able to purchase many of the lovely new products and some of my existing baby products have retired so I have had to make do with what I have been able to pre-order along with existing products.

For the background I have used one of the streamer stamps from the new Beautiful Balloons bundle. These have been "stamped off" using Misty Moonlight. I have then embossed the piece of Basic White cardstock using one of the Online exclusive Basics 3D embossing folders.

The balloons have been die cut using Boho Blue cardstock and one of the dies from the new Beautiful Balloons dies. The letters on the balloons have been created using the Alphabet A La Mode dies and stuck to the balloons using adhesive sheets.

For the balloon strings I have used the White Bakers Twine and coloured it using a Boho Blue Stampin Blend. Finally I have added a few In Colour Dots in Boho Blue. All of this has been mounted on Misty Moonlight cardstock and finally Crumb Cake.

For the inside of the card I have used several of the Countryside Corners dies with Basic White and Boho Blue cardstock.

The sentiment is from Charming Sentiments and has been stamped using Boho Blue.

Next in tonight's blog hop is  lovely Tina Gillespie. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation.
