Heart of Christmas Week 14

Welcome to Week 14 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. AS always I hope that you have been enjoying all of the beautiful creations that the members are sharing.

This week I have chosen once again to feature the gorgeous Joyous Noel Specialty DSP. There truly isn't one design that I haven't been able to use. Initially I have run this DSP through the Big Shot using the Subtle embossing folder and then softened the edges by sponging with Soft Suede. I have then attached some Tranquil Tide ruffled ribbon from the Annual Catalogue and then gone to town with the Sprig punch and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits to add some dimension to the card.  The sentiment is from the First Frost stamp set and has been die cut with the layering rectangles also from the First Frost Framelits. Then finally I have added a couple of Tranquil Tide Pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls set.

As always if you would like to know ore about anything Stampin Up!, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Heart of Christmas Week 13

Welcome to Week 13 of the Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop.Well here we are in November, the time of the year things start to get a bit crazy.

This week I have gone back to featuring some more of the beautiful papers from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Paper pack. This one uses Merry Merlot as the main feature colour.

I have stamped the sentiment from a set from the Annual catalogue called  Star of Light, and then mounted that on some copper foil, trying to highlight the copper in the DSP. Underneath the sentiment is a band of Merry Merlot reversible ribbon. Picking up on the snowflakes from the DSP I have die cut some snowflakes from the Starlight thinlits also from the Annual catalogue.

It's actually hard to tell but I have cut the snowflakes out of some Shimmery White cardstock but it is very hard to pick it up in the photograph.

As always if you would like to know ore about anything Stampin Up!, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.

Heart of Christmas Week 12

Welcome to Week 12 of the Art With Heart of Christmas , Heart of Christmas blog hop. As always I hope that you are enjoying the inspiration all of the team members are giving you for your Christmas cards this year.

This week I have taken my inspiration from a card I came across on whilst scrolling through Pinterest recently, unfortunately I didn't "pin" it so I cant tell you who it was.

Starting with a white cardstock base I have used Smokey Slate as my feature colour and teamed it with both a copper foil edge and wreath, as well as copper embossing for the sentiment. The wreath is from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits and I think it works perfectly. The adornments to the wreath come from a combination of Pretty Pines thinlits  and the Frosted Bouquet framelits. Finally the bow has been cut from the Merry Merlot glimmer paper in the Joyous Noel glimmer paper pack. Both the Frosted Bouquet framelits and the glimmer paper are available to order from the current Occasions catalogue.

As mentioned the sentiment has been embossed in copper and here is a closer photograph. The sentiment is from the Feathers and Frost stamp set which is also available in the current Occasions catalogue

Heart Of Christmas Week 11

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop.  Wow this is week 11. Where are all the weeks going? I hope that you have been enjoying all the inspiration from all of the other participants.

This week I decided to challenge myself and use one of the Designer Series Papers from the All Is Bright suite, but one that I have not seen used very much. I actually did find it quite a challenge as the paper itself is quite involved.

I decided to take my lead from the green and gold in the paper as well as a Real Red cardstock base. I'm not sure if you can see it from photo but the Shaded Spruce cardstock has been embossed with my favorite folder, the Subtle one. I've then added a border of Gold glimmer paper to tie in with the gold on some of the stockings. I have used the scallop edge from the Seasonal Layers thinlits in the Annual catalogue. Then added some mini gold ribbon (which has retired) and a couple of Metallic Pearls to the bottom corners and as some of the accents on a couple of the stockings on the DSP. The sentiment is from the Another Wonderful Year stamp set and has been mounted on a gold scallop.

Heart Of Christmas Week 10

Wow! Here we are at week 10 of the Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone and we have already been able to offer you 10 weeks of Christmas inspiration.

This week I have chosen to finally break open the absolutely gorgeous Frosted Floral Specialty DSP. I cant believe I haven't paid any attention to it before now. It is absolutely stunning and is printed on shimmery white paper to give it a beautiful appearance.

For some added interest I have dry embossed the top half of the card with the Softly Falling embossing folder. The sentiment is from the First Frost stamp set which can be bundled with the Frosted Bouquet framelits, which I have actually used for the sentiment. It's a bit hard to tell from the photo but the framelits I have used actually have like a beveled edge to them for some depth. Then I've added some shimmer ribbon and colored some clear rhinestones with my Stampin Blends to coordinate.

For some added interest on the inside of the card I ahve used another stamp from the same set.
I do have to say Pear Pizazz would have to be one of my favourite greens.

Enjoy your week

Heart of Christmas Week 9

Hello

Welcome to week 9 of the Art with Heart,  Heart of Christmas blog hop. Did you know there are only 11 weeks until Christmas? Time just seems to be flying past.

This week I have chosen to feature one of the papers from the All is Bright Suite which starts on page 5 of the Holiday catalogue and teamed it with the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and coordinating dies.

I'm not sure if you can see it from the photo above but I have embossed the paper with the Subtle embossing folder just to add some interest. I have placed this on a base of Shaded Spruce cardstock, sponging the edges slightly with crumb cake.
I have used the Stitched shapes framelits for the sentiment.

For a bit of bling I have used the Shaded Spruce metallic ribbon from the combo on page 201 of the Annual Catalogue. It's hard to tell from the photo but this ribbon has a lovely glimmer to it. Finally a couple of the Red rhinestone jewels to finish.

That's it for this weeks card. If you would like to see more of the teams inspirational projects then jump back to Claire Daly's blog .

Enjoy your week

Heart of Christmas Week 8

Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2018.
Once again I have chosen to make use of some of the beautiful Designer Series Papers that are available in the current Holiday catalogue. This paper is from the All is Bright suite. The papers are gorgeous. I have teamed this one with some gold foil sheet as a backing.

It is a bit hard to tell from the photo but I have embossed the sentiment in gold on whisper white cardstock and then for the "to you" I have reversed it and embossed with white on gold. For embellishments I have used the gold metallic edged ribbon and finally added a couple of gold faceted gems, both from the Annual catalogue.
All in all a fairly simple yet effective card to make, don't you think?

If you would like to see the other beautiful creations from our other team members then hop on over to Ros Davidson's blog this week as she is hosting the hop for this week only.

Heart of Christmas Week 7

Welcome to another week of the Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop. Week 7 to be exact. As always the weeks are flying by. I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying being involved in this blog hop and it has the added benefit of getting well ahead for this years festive season.

This week I have actually chosen to feature one of the bundles from our Annual Catalogue, which I purchased last year but didn't get to give some love to back then. It's the At Home bundle which isn't only for Christmas but can also be used for a birthday, a thanks for hospitality, just a general hello or even congratulations on a new home. The list is endless. The other thing I love about this bundle is NO fussy cutting as the dies are made to cut any of the stamp sets including the wreath on the door and the potted trees beside it. Just made for me!

For the background DSP and also the door I have used the Festive Farmhouse DSP from the current Seasonal Catalogue. To add some dimension I've coloured the wreath and the plant pots with our beautiful Stampin Blends which make colouring a pleasure. As always I've added that bit of bling by using the Red Rhinestone jewels. And finally added some Festive Farmhouse cotton twine in Mossy Meadow.

Hope that you like this weeks creation and if you would like to see the rest of the teams creations then just pop over to Claire Daly's blog.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the week

Heart of Christmas Week 6

Welcome to week 6 of the Art With Heart Heart of Christmas blog hop. Did you know that there are only 14 weeks until Christmas as of this week? I am so sure that those weeks are going to fly by but luckily I will at least have made all of my Christmas cards hopefully by the start of December this year! Here's hoping hey?

This week I have chosen my inspiration from the Dashing Deer bundle. The bundle consists of matching dies to the stamp sets which for me is heaven as it means no fussy cutting! The stamp set also includes some great stamps that can be used for the inside of the card to make it easy as well.

Once again I have used yet another paper from the Joyous Noel DSP. The paper is so versatile and every sheet if gorgeous.
I have also chosen copper foil  to edge the corners of the card, and not sure if you can see it from the photo but the deer is actually embossed with copper powder and finally a trim of Tranquil tide ruffled ribbon and a couple of pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan pearls.
I have also stamped off the small flower as a background for the deer but it is so feint it's hard to see.
I hope you like my latest Christmas creation and that you take the time to visit all of the other lovely members participating in the blog this week. You can do that by returning to Claire Daly's blog.
Hope you have a wonderful week

Heart Of Christmas Week 5

Welcome to week 5 of the Art with Heart Heart of Christmas blog hop for week 5. The weeks just seem to be flying by at the moment so it's great that by participating in this blog hop I'm actually getting a great start on my Christmas cards for the upcoming season.

This week I have chosen to once again use the stunning Joyous Noel DSP. I find that this paper has so many different looks to create some beautiful cards. I'm not sure if you can see the detail from the photo but I have actually embossed the paper with the Subtle embossing folder just to add a bit of texture. I'm also loving teaming it with Merry Merlot. For the edges I have used the Delicate Details edgelits from the Annual Catalogue. The sentiment is from Timeless Tidings which you can purchase individually or purchase the Timeless Tidings project kit for some lovely easy to make cards.

I hope that you like my latest card and are enjoying the inspiration for your cards this coming Christmas. For even more inspiration you can see the rest of the teams creations by visiting Claire Daly's blog

Heart of Christmas Week 4 2018

Welcome to Week 4 of The Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2018. Once again I hope that you are enjoying the inspiration from all of the other members.

Yay! from today everyone is able to purchase some of the beautiful new products from our brand new Holiday catalogue. So if you don't already have a demonstrator to help you and you are in Australia and would like to purchase any of the Stampin Up! products then please contact me via my Facebook tab at the top of this page.

I have to confess that this week I have been very time poor after having a flying visit interstate for Father' Day, so I have chosen to CASE a card previously made by Angelique Nederpel that I found on Pinterest. Hope you like it.

It features the DSP, Under the Mistletoe which is in our Annual Catalogue, as well as some framelits and thinlits from the same. I have also trimmed the envelope with the same DSP in an endeavour to use as much of it as possible.Oh and the embossing folder is also from there too! In fact the only items from the new Holiday catalogue are the sentiment, from Peaceful Noel and the bling!

As always one has to have some bling for Christmas.

I hope that you like my latest card and are enjoying the inspiration for your cards this coming Christmas. For even more inspiration you can see the rest of the teams creations by visiting Clare Daly's blog

Heart of Christmas Week 3 2018

Welcome to week 3 of the Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2018. I hope you've been getting plenty of inspiration so far.

This week I have decided to feature the gorgeous Beautiful Baubles bundle from the upcoming Holiday catalogue. Not long to wait now until you will also be able to order from it!

Once again I have chosen to feature the gorgeous Joyous Noel DSP and added some bling with the Tranquil Tide glimmer paper and the Detailed Baubles thinlits dies as well as a bit more bling with silver mini sequin trim. Nothing like a bit of bling at Christmas!

I hope that you like my latest card and are enjoying the inspiration for your cards this coming Christmas. For even more inspiration you can see the rest of the teams creations by visiting Claire Daly's blog

Heart of Christmas Week 2 2018

Welcome to week 2 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2018.
Today's card features some of the gorgeous new products from our upcoming Holiday catalogue which you will be able to purchase from September 1st. As a demonstrator I have the lucky chance to get my hands on the new products before everyone who is not a demonstrator.

My card features the gorgeous Joyous Noel DSP, the Joyous Glimmer paper, the Merry Merlot and Copper reversible ribbon and the Snowflakes and Stars wire elements. These are all from the Joyous Noel suite which is my favorite in the catalogue. The sentiment however is from Snowflake Sentiments in the Annual catalogue.

Don't you love that Copper glimmer paper? I've used the Swirly Snowflake thinlits dies, also from the Annual catalogue to cut the snowflakes. Not sure whether you can also see it but I have decorated the envelope with matching paper. This Christmas I am determined to use as much of the paper as I can, even though it's hard cut such gorgeous paper.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and you see the rest of the team's creations by visiting  Claire Daly's blog.

Have a great day

Heart of Christmas Week 1 2018

Welcome to the first week of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2018. We hope that you enjoy hopping around and get some inspiration for your Christmas cards for this year.

I have to admit that this is my first ever time participating in a blog hop but hopefully the first of many!

For my first week I have chosen to focus on the Under The Mistletoe bundle from the Annual Catalogue. Hope you like it!

The benefit of this card is that if anything takes your fancy you can already order it rather than having to wait for the new Holiday catalogue to be released next month.
I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo but I have also embellished the berries with some of the red rhinestone basic jewels. Here is a closer look.

As always if you are interested in purchasing any Stampin Up! products or would just like to know more about Stampin Up! then please contact me via my Facebook tab at the top of this page.
Enjoy the rest of the hop.

Mother's Day

Today I would like to share with you the card I shall be giving my Mother tomorrow for Mother's Day. I think it is fairly to safe to say that she won't be seeing it on either here or my Facebook page before I give it to her. You see she turned 96 just last week and although she is in very good health, computers and the like are now beyond her.
I have chosen to use the beautiful new Share What You Love Specialty DSP which is now available for you to order as part of one of our great bundles. If you want to know more why don't you click on the link and watch the following video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPHInF9q41Q&feature=youtu.be

Now for the card I have made.

For all the Mothers out there, I hope that you have a lovely day tomorrow. x

More Truly Tailored

Today I would like to share a couple more cards that I have made using the very soon to be retired Truly Tailored stamp set and the True Gentleman DSP. Both of these products are set to be retired at the end of May but are still available for you to purchase now, so don't hesitate if you are interested because they will soon be gone.

The first card is one that I CASED from the lovely Kim Oliver, a fellow Australian demonstrator.

As always if you are interested in purchasing any Stampin Up! products or would just like to know more about Stampin Up! then please contact me via my Facebook tab at the top of this page.
Have a lovely day.

True gentleman happy birthday dad

Today I would like to share with you the first of a series of male cards featuring the soon to be retired Truly Tailored stamp set and True Gentleman DSP.
Stampin' Up recently released their list of retiring products from both the current Occasions catalogue and the  2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. If you are interested in purchasing any of these products don't hesitate and contact me before they run out!

The card I would like to share with you today features the True Gentleman DSP along with  2 sentiments from another retiring set from the Annual catalogue, Guy Greetings. I must say that I am sad to see this set go as it has been great for all those male cards, but I am confident that the new Annual catalogue will have something just as good to replace it if not better!

I do have a confession though, the embellishment is one from a couple of years ago and so is no longer available  but if I can help with you with any of the other Stampin' Up! products please contact me.

Beautiful Peacock

Well hello!. It's been a while since I have been able to actually sit myself down and do a new blog post. That's not to say that I haven't still been creating, it's just that life has been rather busy with Easter and some work we are doing around our home at the moment.

Moving on.

Sadly Saleabration has now ended and with that your chance to earn freebies :(
Some weeks ago I decided to ink up the Beautiful Peacock set and here are a couple of cards I made. It's using a color combo of Calypso Coral, Smokey Slate and Crumb cake, one which I am really pleased with.Hope you like it too.

As always if I can help you with anything Stampin Up! please dot hesitate to contact me via the Facebook tab at the top

Lots Of Lavender does Wisteria

Today I would like to share another card that I have made using the Lots Of Lavender stamp set which is my favourite Saleabration set.

If you spend $90 you can earn this set for free! If you are tempted then please hurry and contact me via my Facebook link from the tab above, but don't be slow as Saleabration finishes at the end of this month!

I've teamed Wisteria Wonder with Pear Pizazz and Whisper White. A colour combination that I love. Wondering how I managed to get Pear Pizazz ribbon? Well I coloured the White classic weave ribbon with my light Old Olive Stampin' Blend. I think it's a fairly good colour match, don't you? The sentiment is from Happy Wishes, another Salebration set.

Once again if I can help you in anyway with Stampin' Up! please don't hesitate to contact me.

Enjoy your weekend, especially here in Melbourne where we have a long weekend!

Lots Of Lavender

Hello!
When the current Saleabration Catalogue was released to demonstrators late last year I just knew that the first stamp set I wanted to earn was Lots Of Lavender as I am a huge fan of Lavender. In fact do you know I put Lavender oil on the soles of my feet every night before I got to sleep to help me relax and have a good night's sleep.
Anyway I can't believe it has taken me this long to actually ink up the set!

Now that I have the set out on my craft desk I plan to make some more cards with it and share them with you.
If you also love this set as much as I do, please contact me via my Facebook page to find out how you too can earn this set as a freebie. But don't be slow as Saleabration ends at the end of March!
Have a lovely weekend.

Southern Serenade

If there is one Stampin Up! colour that is not high on my list of favourites it would have to be Crushed Curry and so with that in mind I decided to challenge myself to go all out and use it. I must say though I do really like it paired with Basic Black.

I'm not the sort of person to have lots and lots of friends and the ones I do have are very dear to me and I like to let them know and that's why I love this sentiment in Southern Serenade, a stamp set currently available to order from our current Occasions catalogue.
I've used some of the Stampin Up!  shimmer ribbon in Basic Black on this card which is really pretty instead of a plain black ribbon.

Hope you like it!
Enjoy the rest of your day.
