Welcome to Week 3 of the Art With Heart, Heart of Christmas.
Finally I've got my act together and started to create. It's been a very big past 12 months for me, selling up in suburban Melbourne and relocating to regional Victoria, in particular to Gippsland. I can't guarantee that I'll be sharing every week but will do my best to partake when I can.
Anyway back to back to the matter at hand. Our weekly Christmas inspired blog hop. This year we will be hopping weekly, so hopefully we can provide you with some festive inspiration. Our host for this year's blog hop is the lovely Sharon Davern.
This week I've gone for a fairly simple design inspired by the image on page 26 of the current Mini Catalogue.
Christmas cards always need a bit of bling and for this one I have used the gorgeous Traditional Sparkling Sequins. They come in Real Red, Gold, Old Olive and Pool Party.
For the inside of the card I've used Words For The Season stamp set and added pieces from another of the Traditions of Christmas DSP. I've gone for small triangles of the paper as it reminds me of the Half Square Triangles I have been doing a lot of in my quilting lately.
Next on tonight's blog hop is the lovely Rosa Leydon. Click on the button below and it should take you to her blog where you can see her lovely Festive creation.
If the button link is not working or you would like to see the entire list of participants go to our lovely host Sharon Davern.
If you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or to purchase products from me then click on my Facebook button above and send me a message and I would be more than happy to help.
Enjoy your week.

Beautiful card inspired by that in the catty. The gold greeting is striking on the red. Love the touches of sparkle in your card Theresa.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Theresa. I love your die cut poinsettia arrangement with the added pieces of pine over the sentiment with the new embossed background. The 2 corner DSP pieces inside are a cute touch, especially mowing they are reminiscent of quilting pieces. xxx
ReplyDeleteSo good to have you back and what a sensational sparkly card, Theresa! I had to laugh at your fussy cutting aversion - you must love the dies in this suite!
ReplyDeleteTheresa, this is a lovely card with the dry embossed white background. The gold embossed sentiment on the red is a real WOW too!
